but crap power bands, lots of changing gear in and around town, especially ones with 6 gears, good mileage, great torque, but over all, not as good as petrols in my opinion, depends what type of drive you want also, deisels more relaxing, generally not as exhillerating...

Bought a throttle cable for £18, followed the 'how to' from here, ok so it took an hour and a half, but I couldn't feed the bloody new cable past the green thingy arttached to the disc brake which runs inbetween the bulkhead and the engine insullation stuff!!

The plot thickens, found out that my car would have originally been fitted with the twisted mount and someone must have changed it for the straight bar as the twisted ones had a tendancy to snap!! So I now have the new straight bar with the standard mounts included and some uprated bushes for...
I had a venom induction kit with Janspeed pipes fitted to my old smarst roadster bluewave and it produced an increase of 8 bhp, rolling roaded before and after installing the kit. There's one from left field.
P.s. the Venom kit is the same as the viper just steel not carbon fibre, it...
Spoke to K-Tec, only do one size of uprated bushes, turns out I have the straight not the twisted bar and thats why the bushed were the wrong size as they are only designed for the twisted bar, new twisted dogbone or whatever the hell its called was £33.68 inc VAT, all gonna be fitted asap...
I told K-tec that I had a phase 1 in the order, and have emailed them now to get them to send the right part. Cheers guys, back in to the garage again...
Purchaced these from K-Tec racing, purple ones, garage tried to fit them and said that one was too smaall and one was too big!!!!

Just got some greens for the rear, yet to be fitted, however I dont think the rear brakes on a 172 do very much any way, although the rears do seem to get more dirty more quickly than the fronts...
