but crap power bands, lots of changing gear in and around town, especially ones with 6 gears, good mileage, great torque, but over all, not as good as petrols in my opinion, depends what type of drive you want also, deisels more relaxing, generally not as exhillerating...

Bought a throttle cable for £18, followed the 'how to' from here, ok so it took an hour and a half, but I couldn't feed the bloody new cable past the green thingy arttached to the disc brake which runs inbetween the bulkhead and the engine insullation stuff!! Anyhow, my first bit of car...

Spoke to K-Tec, only do one size of uprated bushes, turns out I have the straight not the twisted bar and thats why the bushed were the wrong size as they are only designed for the twisted bar, new twisted dogbone or whatever the hell its called was £33.68 inc VAT, all gonna be fitted asap...

Bugger had straight bar, just ordered twisted bar and getting fitted ASAP, £33.80 inc VAT being delivered tomorrow.

I told K-tec that I had a phase 1 in the order, and have emailed them now to get them to send the right part. Cheers guys, back in to the garage again...

Purchaced these from K-Tec racing, purple ones, garage tried to fit them and said that one was too smaall and one was too big!!!! I have a Mk2 Ph1 172 x reg Jan 2001 I thought they were supposed to fit all 172's, what should I do now?? Why dont they fit... From the picture on K-Tecs...

Ordered the throttle cable, £17 or so, gonna fit it this weekend, if I can find the how to...

Just got some greens for the rear, yet to be fitted, however I dont think the rear brakes on a 172 do very much any way, although the rears do seem to get more dirty more quickly than the fronts...

just ordered bottom mount as have same problem, will let you know if solved.

I had to have mine replaced as it failed its mot when i bought it a few months ago, didnt have to pay thankfully...

Ah, I shall revert to the garage and see what they say... thanks... I cant do the dog bone mount can I, as you need some heavier equipment, engine press??
