As above, thier basically all the same with slightly diffrent turbo's/exhaust systems, afaik the 260's are only 260's because of european emission's laws, and so they run 2 cats, diffrent map and a few other little bits.
Tbh you are better off buying a 260, buying the spoiler off the bigger...
He owns a cosworth tuning/braking company, he cant fit them all in his workshop, they arnt left to rot, come are for braking, some for fixing, its been all over passion ford every other day for the last year!

Does the 172 de-cat go past where the normal 16v cat would be? so it goes into the middle section ?
i have a 172 de-cat and will be fitting it, but just want to know if i need to cut my middle section ?
I can see you cut the flange off or something? how did you connect the 2 up ?
Heater matrix hose's all done, very crude, but will do the job
fuel rail feed connected (had to cut off hard plastic from the push type fitting so i could attach the mk1 hose)

My shorter rad came so i made some brackets and fitted that and cut down some hose's.
got my pas hose's from pirtek
removed the map tank
tried to fit alternaotr belt but it was to short so need to get...
Alternaotr belt still didnt come and niether has my downpipe.
I cut down the alternator bracket as it bolted in where the knock sensor is so i cut the end off so the knock sensor could be bolted in, i also had to chop a bit of the top as it didnt clear the itb's.
i then changed the fuel...
Not done much today, been raining all day, i went to pirtex to get ym power steering lines made up but they didn't have the right fittings and asked if i could bring the old ones, so ill do that tommorrow.
