Stealth bomber styled 182? ;)
Black definitely looks better, only thing with black is that you have to keep on top of keeping the tyres cleans because the black wheels can make the tyres look dull and grey.
I know what you mean mate, I've come across some strange bodge jobs on mine which I've had to correct.
At least it looks like you've found your problem then and you can start getting a rough idea how much it's going to cost to get it running again.
Haha! steal his van and threaten to not give it him back until he does it ;)
I hope he sorts it, otherwise I've got a 8mile cycle to work tomorrow :dead: lol.
Lol, you make it sound so simple, I wish it was though as I haven't really got the right tools for undoing those bolts holding the starter in, just had a look and I can't get the sockets/wrench I have down there to undo them.
I've just rang the AA and got someone to come out to it, got a...
I think the spade pin where the plug has come off is bent towards the starter. I can't get anything tool wise in there to try and bend it back so will that mean the starter motor will have to come out?
How's yours going mate? Had much luck with it? and cheers but I don't think it's my battery that causing my problem after finding that disconnect plug in the image above.
Whilst messing under the bonnet this morning I noticed this plug was disconnected in the image below. This must be the reason why my starter motor won't fire. I've tried to look where it could plug in to but can't seem to find where it goes.
Before the new starter was fitted, it was now and then, this time it's all the time, only way to get it started is to bump start it.
Lol. At least you got a months worth of exercise in one night with all the pushing mate :rasp:
No I didn't change the battery, still on the same one the previous owner had fitted. Might get a new one if all else fails.
Lol. I didn't dis-believe you when you said it will come out through the top by the way.
Put previous threads up about this and I thought I'd solved it with a new starter motor but my starting problems have come back again.
Car will not start at all and needs to be bump started to get it going, when you turn the key there nothing there at all and all you get is a click from the...
The crappy weather doesn't help, well that's my issue at the moment. I'd personally wait for abit until we get better weather before jumping ship because you may regret it, especially as you say you love it.
You may loose some of the rasp but I'm not sure. Also, not sure what kind of guarantee/warranty YozzaSport offer on their systems but if you have a silencer welded in to it I'm sure it'll void the guarantee/warranty.
Lol. I have a rough idea of how loud it'll be going off my own with a decat, as you'll probably know if you heard mine at the last NW meet.
Any decent exhaust fitting place should be able to weld a silencer in your centre section though.
So you'd say having the 182 manifold is worth it then? I keep hum'n' and R'n' about getting it done on mine. Think I'd only ever get it done though is if I can get hold of a 182 manifold really cheap.

Pictures there mate and also a quick guide on how to pull the engine forwards and hopefully eliminate that noise you're talking about.
Ah yeah, I was at Birchdown just after yours had been in, was talking to Steve about it.
How bad is the gearbox leak? as most of them weap abit near the selector (mine does this).
My car didn't like them, put them under any kind of load and they'd start squealing like a pig and they were scary in the wet. Although I think the fact they were 215/40/16s didn't help. As soon as I had the PE2s on the handling was a 100 times better.
Looks really good mate, I'd love a set myself but I can't justify the £££s it'd cost for a pair lol.
Fancy a swap for some lovely cloth Cup seats as I know you're a fan of the Cups? ;) Lol.
