Yesterday (Sunday) attended the Milton Keynes meet.....
Then today, Finished work early, so got on with stripping the Cup.
Subframe etc off first
Had already removed most of the engine bay bits over the last few days when I've had a spare hour here and there.
Then carefully removed...
They have problems, but then what car doesn't? They are brilliant for what they are, The minimum MPG I get from mine is 55 ragging it, you'll easily see 70 or more driving carefully.
Main issue is normally fuel pump or injectors, otherwise the engine is quite good. Mines on 167k now
Move closer. Solved! lol
Bang on, I'll explain it all later when I get some decent pics of it.
Cliosport will soon change that :P
Come on down mate, We'll block off the road with Clios.
Buy em you fag.
Cheers bud, Found your Flamer when I first started sport repping mine and loved yours.
It'd be very welcome (as is anybody!)
I'll have more pics of it tomorrow, plus more info!
You local?
I'm unsure on handling, I fitted my wide track, poly bushes and spacers at the same time pretty much. Much improved from standard but hard to know what did it the most!
Yeah mine sat the same for a while, looked horrible the front being perfect and back so far in. Now I think the front looks...
The man above you wants them, but if he says no, they'll be going up for sale ;)
I doubt I'll take pics of every Clio, theres certainly been a few more than shown here, Meekings DCi springs to mind. I'll try though ;)
I had forgotten! That'll be another busy weekend, Mark (Dr Jekll) is...
I'm not happy with my fronts tbh, but 30s is taking it a bit far and I'll probs have even more rubbing issues than I already do (Cup wishbones and how low it is causing it to rub the front arch liners)
Get the rear loaded up with people/heavy stuff and check, I found my wheels caught the arches...
Didn't realise there was space for 25s on the front of a non sport! But tbh I never played with mine in that form.
15 on the rear might be a touch too much. The arch lip isn't rolled on non-sports, On sports it has a slight roll which gives loads more room (I'd say 7mm). I have a sport disc...
Just flicked through your thread, Slight envy of your 100 horses. Looks good though
How big are those front spacers? Need to be careful with the rears as non sports don't have the same arch clearance as sports.
Figured I play with so many Clios it would be good to have it all in one thread, since it doesn't really fit in any of my other threads.
Firstly, you can see my daily Clio DCi build here....
And just to ***** it..
But, its often home to other Clios....
Including "How many people does...
Is it under cover do you know dmallett ?
meekings14 I plan going cross country with ParisPeach and co. Could meet at the Shell petrol station (where days inn is etc) next to the A1 just round the corner from you?
Text me buddy.
All look like lovely clean cars.
Did a quick check on the Cup after you wondering if it was still about. Clearly not, doesn't show up on any database anymore.
If you fit the front spacers round mine, I'll check the bolt lengh before fitting anyway, and if I think its better to fit the longer bolts and trim them down a little, I will.
It depends how far the bolts stick through the wheels.
Changed the subframe and wishbones.
Being sport stuff it hasn't got the s**t links like Non-sports do. I too, thought ARB, but its all polybushed and everything is spot on. ARB is central on the subframe too.
Wishbones aren't that old, all balljoints are new, as are track rods. Solid top...
Yeah, I checked most of it, will check it again at some point though.
I've been through all the same too. I can rule top mounts out, Solid PMS.
Those bolts are tight, I don't have any of the cage bits anymore so was sure to get them bloody tight!
