I also thought the same but only going from what i've been told re coding. The tourque sensor is obviously a clever bit of kit from what i've seen but I don't know if that could code to the ECU
Yeah just picking to suit location and dates really :)
Yes i'm looking forward to trying it Andy :)
It's only 3 races and its just a matter of what fit's in best with dates and location really, I'd really like the sprint style layout of the french trophy but unfortunately I can't move the...
I've used 8.5mm and the dimension stands for the csa of the wire not the diameter. http://polevolt.co.uk/acatalog/Thinwall_cable_cut_to_length.html bottom of the page is what I've used and is only 5mm outer diameter. Haven't done the earth yet but will run the 8.5mm into a ring terminal and just...
Plan for this season:
Now lots of people have been asking what i'm doing this season and i've been pretty vague as everything has been up in the air for the last few months. Just recently i've gone from having plenty of time with the car always making fairly good progress to now I only have a...
Not a problem mate :) drop me a pm with your email and I'll fire it over when I get home tonight. It might not make sense to anyone but me but it lists fuses switches etc
Good plan! No you don't but you will just want to replace with a different fuse and relay system. I think one I've used seems pretty good and I've learnt a few things about it which would make it easier if I did it again.
Haha I was only joking ;) couldn't give two hoots.
Regarding the quaife v's standard I know what Morgan means in the video but on track the difference they make is massive although they are still slightly compromised. At the last Llandow I drove Lesley's Rs2'd 172 and then drove chips turbo...
Chip have you ever seen the condition of the cup racers for sale? I looked at 5 and only one of them wouldn't of needed a reshell, then they all need full refreshes which can cost close to 10k by the time you have done box, suspension, sphericals etc the shell's even if you find a straight one...
That box on piston heads is overpriced for what it is, the STDSA boxes aren't as strong as the ST75-14 which is what I would be looking for if retrofitting. A good one of those is about the price of the one for sale above. The torque rating on the ST75 is 180nm and thats a fair bit more than the...
Personally yeah, A degree each side is adding 120 mins of toe out overall. For my current setup I will only be fine tuning so probably add 5 mins per side and then go from there. I would confidently add 10 mins per side to mine but would prefer to work my way upto it and get the data for both :)
Didn't realise you'd bought another one Mike! Looks great I remember seeing this car with Dan at the first Llandow :)
I've got a set of grey xenons I need to sell and am fairly local so let me know if you want to get some I'm always over at York as the other half lives there so can meet up etc...
Good stuff Simon hope you enjoy it :)
BM brakes always seem under engineered to me! Even on the M cars getting more than 3 laps without fade is a bonus
I think the tool cost me about 70 quid so I wouldn't buy it lol! Your welcome to cut the the wires to size and post to me with the crimps and I will just crimp them up with my tool
I used 8.5mm cable which is rated to 63amps the only crimps I could find for that gauge of wire are metal ones so I am adhesive heat shrinking over it. The crimp tool for them is pretty hefty too lol! I looked at remaking the plug but couldn't find the terminals.
I am running my earth down to...
