So here in lies the dilemma.
RenaultSport Clio pricing is all over the place, how would you price a car like this with exceptional history and maintenance, yet high miles.
Vs some of the absolute sheds out there with low miles on, yet clearly haven’t been cared for properly.
We all know...
Used to run a Lifeline hand held in front of the passenger seat and a 4ltr plumbed in system behind the passenger seat.
Might put this one in my Clio now seeing as it’s no longer in the Impreza.
Not sure I’d want an extinguisher at head height behind me. Also a pain to get to when you’re strapped in. If you’re harnessed up and need to quickly get the extinguisher and get out you want it in the passenger footwell.
Could have all the right trinkets but be an absolute bucket of sh1te.
Id stick with what you have, put a shopping market interior in yours and call it a cup :D
I'd read elsewhere that this job was an absolute nightmare.
Hand on heart i did this start to finish in about 30 min and that was stopping to take photos. I was expecting a right headache.
Guess i got lucky. :)
After buying back my old 182, the gearknob had lived a good life but looking less than its best after 114k miles of fun.
I did this earlier and took some photos, so decided to put together a little guide if anyone else fancies doing the same.
Tools required:
- New gearknob - Renault Part number...
Little job I’ve wanted to do was renew the tired old gear knob.
The top of the original was smooth with printed H pattern. However these are no longer available from Renault so I have one with an embossed H pattern.
I’d read that these were a nightmare to get off, but I was in luck as this...
With the original number plates made over 8 years ago now, they were showing their age. New ones on with some fresh 3M dual locks freshen up the car a treat.
Also fitted a small “Vive Le Sport” decal as a historical nod to the racing turbo Renault’s back in the 80s. (Excuse the dust, I’d just...
As said on your other thread, i was tempted to buy this car but needed a more "road Friendly" car for a 50 mile per day commute. But it appeared to have all the right bits and in lovely condition.
Wishing you well with it in your ownership and look forward to seeing what you do with it.
Best of...
Collected the car from Alex @ AW Motorworks this evening and I have to say it drives like a totally different car.
I gave Alex instruction that he was to go through the car from top to bottom and although didn’t have an “open chequebook” he was to replace anything that was required.
I was...
Thanks, the table I made myself, makes a nice taking point in our lounge.
Not 100% sure on the decal placement just yet, one of those things where i need to have a play with positioning on the car.
The usual awesome service from my good friend Mark @ MarkOne Graphics. He made my original plates 8 years ago and has just made a new pair to freshen the car up once more.
He also made me some “made in Dieppe” decals of which I may/may not fit.
Got this idea from the Porsche GT boys some of...
Dropped the car with Alex at AW Motorworks tonight for a few days. She’s in for a fair bit of love.

If I’m honest Chris I can’t say as I haven’t experienced that on my car. I won’t recommend or comment on something unless I have first hand experience of it.
However I will say it’s a huge improvement over stock and has had no detrimental affects at all.
So if you find the powerflex item is...
Not sure if anyone else has seen one of these yet, but i am so impressed by it, I felt the need to share.
I recently fitted a new prototype Poly dogbone from PhillipM. This is really quite impressive, much improved gear selection and control of the engines torque reaction. However absolutely...
I nearly purchased that car, it was for sale in Norfolk from a chap named James.
I needed a back seat so it was a no go from me, looked a lovely example with lots of nice parts on it.
Congrats
I have a 6S that the battery life started to get really bad. I got a new genuine apple one from ebay for about £15 with the tools to fit it.
Did it myself in about 10 minutes and its been perfect ever since. In fact so good that I changed the battery in the wifes one too.
They're like new...
