I just thought i'd let you all know about my mates glanza. He's been a looser and bought a softy CTR. His old car that he's now trying to get rid of is one of the most surprising cars i've ever been in.
This is a Glanza V, for those that don't know, that's a toyota starlet Import with a 1.3...
I sold my valver engine to a mate who has put it in his volvo 340.
He's wondering if he can upgrade to an F4R 172 lump. I don't see why it would be any harder than a valver engine. The volvo transfer box would slot on just the same as the valver engine.
Has it been done? any reason why it...
Been given an air compressor. It's only 25 litre but it's a 2hp direct drive oil type (no rubber diaphragm) which is good.
I wanted to change the oil in it as i'm having to run the compressor for several mins at a tiime. I found an american wesbite that says they take 30 weight "non detergent"...
are crimp tools really meant to be £90 to £130???!?!?
Currently trying to find a suitable crimp tool for my Emerald ECU Kit.
The plug emerald use is made by a company called AMP (32pin)
The Connectors (pins) used are Tyco Econoseal PN-345150
Emerald recommend a crimp tool made by ABIKO - the...

A guy came round today about a custom turbo manifold for my project
We've decided on a top mounted:evil:, central, equal length manifold in 316 stainless. The guy is an ex-prodrive TIG welder and i've seen some of his work and it's WOW
I mentioned an EGT (exhaust gas temperature)...
Thought I'd put up a thread and show people what I've been doing with my MK1 over the past few weeks.
a little over a year ago, I'd recently changed from a MK1 Clio 1.8 16v to a Ph2172. I was unhappy with the way the 172 handled. The extra power was great, but I thought the ultimate grip was a...
Got to go do oil+coolant on a 1.2 16v MK2Ph2
Thought I'd start a thread with some useful information for people wanting to service their own cars and also to find out if there is a bleed plug on a 1.2
1.2 16v D4F
Oil Capacity - 4.8 litres
Oil - 10W40 or 5W40
Coolant capacity - ? around 5...
I'm having real trouble with my engine crane.
it's one of these:
basically it works fine without a load on it. But with an engine on it, it will lift about 4 inches off the floor then gradually stop pumping. It's as if it's not drawing in any oil to pump through. It also builds quite a bit of...
I got a new sideskirt for my 172 ages ago but havent fitted as it's titanium silver and my car is iceberg.
What's the best way to go about getting this sprayed up on the cheap?
Is it really that bad to use rattle cans of iceberg from renault?
I spent a long time yesterday cleaning my subframe. It was covered in oily dirt, that didnt really come off with normal car shampoo/w'up liquid. In the end I found white spirit worked a treat.
The subframe is being resprayed, but I'd like to avoid a repspray for the time being in my engine...
A good mate of mine is selling his 200sx.

Very Funny car. :approve:
I need a small laptop with capabilities for a bit of solidworks CAD use.
I've been looking at 12.1 or 13.3 inch notebooks with separate graphics cards.
Best one i've found is a SAMSUNG Q210 with GeForce 9200M 256MB graphics
Anyone had any experience with Q210s or Samsung laptops in general...
I was wondering if there is a way that I can have my USB pen synchronised with a folder on my PC and also a folder on a laptop.
I'd want it to update whichever files were older in either location.
Can XP do this without extra software?
I have photoshop 7 (fail I know, but at least I can use it:o)
Can I do batch photo resizing to a custom resolution?
If not, is there a piece of software that can?
cheers
Techy question here,
Stainless steel grades for turbo manifolds. What's good, what's not good.
I've heard 321 and 347 are good. 328 is not good.
anyone have any idea - is this true - why?
With reference to prepreg carbon manufacture:
Does the autoclave supply the 1bar (or so) pressure required when curing or is that supplied by the vacuum bagging around the part?
Cheers,
Mark

You've gotta download these. It's a tool for searching through google images (also think it does facebook images). It makes flicking through images so much easier. It's fast and looks amazing.
Sorry if it's a repost, did a bit of a search:o
Put yourself in my shoes. Coilovers for a MK1 hybrid (so that's williams suspension)
KW variant 2 - hoping for around £550 waiting to hear back

At the moment i'm thinking KW even though the adjustability isnt as good as...

Can anyone recommend a good point and shoot for 70 or 80 quid?
I may be able to spend a little extra.
I'm looking for something that shoots good film too.
Would consider a camcorder that takes photos but don't think i can get one for that price.

Following on from this: "mint or w*nk"
I'd like to make my first ever 'chop request :D
These wheels:
Onto my white valver project:
Either Picture will be great
Thanks in advance.
I'd like a little advice on a bullet camera or something similar.
I'd want something to record from inside/outside the car which i could also attach to my helmet while skiing
Can anyone recommend anything or generally let me know what to look out for.
Also, would i need a separte...
