Windscreen heater vent only at the moment.
I never carry passengers and try to avoid opening or touching anything if I can avoid it. This helps prevent rattles.
Its the rubber bungs hitting against the surround as far as I could tell. If you read my post you will see I cut off a bit of old bike inner tube and used it to fill the gap. That stopped it altogether.
I had a very small gap, if you have a bigger gap you will need a bigger chunk of rubber.
Annoys me this country.
They are bloody salting the roads in April in an attempt to disolve my car yet last night when it was obviously going to turn icey they didnt bother. Probably because it was a Sunday and they would have to pay the blokes double time.
Roads were terrible this...
Blimey glad I skipped the Cup and went for a 182 now.
Wont cost much to fix, better to pay with cash aint it? Save your insurance premium going up and if you have a decent sized excess it wont cost much more than claiming when all said and done?
My mate just had his front bumper smashed up on his Extreme by some moron in a van that drove off.
He pushed the bumper back into place and it seems to be holding but part of it at the wheel arch is completely torn off. The fog lights seem ok.
How much is it likely to cost him for a new...
Do you want to spend hours and hours polishing that car only for it to look like it has been driven through a slurry pit after a few spots of rain have fallen on it?!?!
Do you want it to look like it has been keyed just as a result of a few fine scratches in the clear top coat?
Thats what...
Just been out and played with my mount. I had a 1mm gap in between the surround and the rubber block closest to the front of the car.
I pulled the surround the other way so that when I tightened up the four bolts the 1mm gap was in between the surround and the rubber block closest to the...
Hurry up and take a pic of your mount now before it starts knocking! That way we will know what to make ours look like.
My knock started after 600 miles.
Be careful with pressures.
Obviously dont check them just after driving as the tyres will be hot and the pressures higher.
However they can get heated up in other ways. I found the pressures on one side of my car were slightly different due to it being parked with one side facing the sun!If...
That bracket in the middle held by the centre bolt is part of the engine so how did you move it to make it square? Or am I missing something? Surely only the black surround can be moved?
I never said that 500bhp per tonne cars had the same insurance costs just that 205 isnt really group 20 material.
A guy I know who has plenty of points and was banned for a while pays about £100 less than you on a supercharged Swift that must be banging out 230 per tonne. He might have had a...
Yeah I am betting on the rubber bungs compressing. Think I will try and shift the mount compressing one of them, then stick some rubber in the gap I create on the other side.
A possibility. Of course if it gets so big that it no longer touches then the excess movement this allows would cause more damage than packing it out and restricting movement...
I would imagine that padding his out wont cause a problem as the rubber blocks are designed to compress and allow movement. If I only have a 1mm gap on one side then I guess it isnt designed to move that much. I would bet that I had no gap at all when the car was new and not knocking...
How...
Oh sorry mate I didnt realise you were agreeing me! Misread your posting, thought you were saying that people come out of uni and get 20k for doing that. Apologies once again.
Yeah you are dead right that is the sort of job you have to start off in when you get out of uni.
It didnt and...
It is! Its about a graduate that cant afford insurance.
Tell you what, £150 in interest is steep. I would gladly lend you the £800 and only charge you £100 in interest!
Actually I wouldnt cos there are some chavs on here and I am not eight hundred pounds certain of who is one and who aint!
Man where have you been!
I know a couple of lads who are 15 and 17 and have there own server! They build their own PCs and connect them to server which is used for gaming and the storage and distribution of warez!
They can build a PC from component parts, install any OS, create fancy...

Thats blue collar work mate. Frankly I am staggered that you are wasting a degree on that type of manual labour.
Your average 16 year old can do that, having...
Not it aint, Ive driven and ridden vehicles with double that.
I know someone who got way more than that by supercharging a 1.3 Suzuki Swift. His insurance is a lot less than Adams_16vs. I will try and find out who he got it with.
I applied for an advert that had three posts going at a local employer. They were 300 applications for those posts. It was too many to filter down so they held an exam (spatial awareness and IQ test type questions) and the top 12 got an interview. I have no doubt that some people with a 1st...
I graduated some years back and earn a fairly decent salary now.
I am in the West of England. Fair few Universitys pumping out loads of graduates but most of the jobs here are low skilled. So if we advertise for graduates at £12k a year they are queuing up as its better than Asda or Burger...
We have at least twenty applicants for every graduate placement post.
Good luck negotiating your salary....
In fairness I am in an area with a large gender and age imbalance, the population is made up mainly of highly skilled young males and this messes up the labour market in terms of...
