funny enough there was 2 from personal collections, this was one of them but not the one your thinking of, its still for sale.
Agreed, its booked in for a full respray in November (soonest my painter could manage!) so plenty time to sort a few bits and bobs first and should be ready for spring...
Got to say I've never been a fan of them either but as time has gone on I've acquired the taste! always liked them on OZ F1s but the wheels suit it I think.
The last thing i needed was another project, but I sold my Saxo VTR and my Twingo GT so had a bit of free garage space! picked up this 172 exclusive from eBay.
Good bits:
*Standard (apart from the rear lights)
*Belts done this year
*70k miles
*underside is like new, my 182Van is clean but this...
Alarms were fitted at import centre in the UK rather than at the factory so I'm not sure how sourcing parts works.
The alarms are made by cobra from memory so should be easy to find stuff on ebay etc
Busy day yesterday after work, forgot to take any pictures of all the new bits sitting out which I kicked myself for! Got a delivery of parts from RPD consisting of 200 Cup front shocks, 200 Cup front springs and 200 Cup front top mounts to match all the 200 cup rears that i fitted a few weeks...
Got a black DCI boot lid with a GT spoiler! No joke it got delivered like this!!!!
No damage though so it sure wasn't Hermes that brought it!!
Stuck it on, much better, I'll get a new Renault sport badge for it at some point.
Quick debadge and a wash
I made a setup the same as the ktec for my 182 van and it sounds brilliant and paired with an rstuner map and AC/Hpas delete it pulls really really strong!
Not car related, but i got one of these today to sort overhanging trees at my parents garden, f**king mint for the cash!

THIS! i tried to phone them a few times for jobs for my work and have tried emailing too with no response. We have used Chris at Dynatune for the last few projects we have done and he is fantastic, extremely knowledgeable and really knows his stuff, Mapped a few big power cars on standalone...
ive just never seen a resprayed car thats as good as a factory car where its painted before its assembled, these things become more and more important for the cars value as they start to climb
As above my old gordini was just a standard car with injectors and map and was pretty fast and ran 130hp at rs tuning, that map wasn't great though so I'd use efi as my current one is spot on.
Sure the book time is about 4hrs but In reality it's a nice straight forward one to do. Engines are that cheap though that I probably wouldn't bother changing it lol
medianav evo on the latest software is great imo, the nav works fine, its not as good as google maps but then what is. Earlier units are crap lol much preffered it to Rlink in my trophy
reliability and tuning potential denotes character?
I also found them lacking character in the same way the 197/200 engine lacked character to me, and being better was what made it feel that way!
the 182 lump in my van is a gruff old thing, noisy, lumpy, unrefined low down and pulls like a...
Yeah clicking on map update then getting the file on the flash drive for Medianav toolbox? That's just a software update. Good old Renault making it clear lol
Electric power steering on them so no power steering fluid.
Plenty of us on here with loads of DCi experience so this is probably the best place for your questions!
