had a 4 paddle cerametalic helix in my old SC saxo. was spot on, changed my pedal feel massively however but worth every penny. that was upwards of £400 back then though!
that was 250hp and with track abuse as a priority!
thanks for that link, bloody good read, will try and apply some of that next time im out, hopefully friday coming!
difficult to find a good location thats no busy and has enough light with enough interest going on! but looking forward to another attempt!
shutter was at 1/250...but i was experimenting a little. But yes i agree, quicker shutter wouldve gained more blur! most of the shots have the effect i wanted. bearing in mind the cars werent going too fast.
Bit of both fletcher, most of them he was driving, but some i was and gave him a go, i just set the camera.
used a fairly high shutter speed. kept the camera is shutter priority mode rather than any of the auto settings. seems to work well but the light was giving me trouble, some too bright...
Went out on friday with a mate to get some pics of the car. second time using the SLR 450D on a moving target so some better than others, but practise makes perfect! Also noticed my carbon splitter snapped! New one on order this week then!
Can you honestly say that the merc will feel more connected than an m3??? M3 is up there with the all time great drivers cars and i reckon pretty much everyone wil agree with that! Yeah the merc will be faster, have more grunt etc but i know id take the m3 all day every day!
Mercs have a bad...
ive kept a spreadsheet on my cars details, it shows every penny that ive ever spent on the car, anything thats been sold from it, who it was sold to, how much for, where things were bought from and how much, when they were fitted, and all mileages at the time.
so far the tally is sat at £9780...
Dont get too hung up on all the comments on this forum chap...ther are some people who are just on here to abuse any post possible.
personally i dont like it but if you like it and your happy then its fine! as long as your happy and you feel comfortable with the look then leave it!
i can see...
hi all, im in need of a picture request. I need to see the routing of the air con pipes round the itb trumpets. Weather it goes inbetween the trumpets or in front of them...ideally to GDI, Ktec standards.
So if you have any pictures of ITB;s that keep aircon i need to see em.
thanks all.
Sean
Hi all.
My trip comptuer seems to be playing up. It was working until i reset it while i was on the move. Since then some of the functions seem to be flashing - - - - constantly.
It still tells me the miles on the car, how many miles ive travlled since last fill up but doesnt tell me how...
as already said the kits are well designed to bolt on with no real tircky problems. you will need to take a feed from the thermostate housing and you'l need to tee into a few wires for the omex loom. thats as tricky as it gets.
MPG will go down a little but not much. of course drive it hard...
caraudiodirect sell them for £30 ish. had to chop it up a little so it would fit into the panel. can get it in red too i think. wouldnt want it on all the time though, well worth hooking up a switch.
it is a little bright but its positioned out of sight (steering wheels blocks it from direct view) its on a switch too so 99% of the time its off but i can switch it on for a quick glance :)
Hi all, back when the install was in the clio i had a stinger volt meter in the boot. I kept this with the intention of mounting it up front somewhere. Finally got round to it.
Im sure ive seen someone else do a similar thing and in all honesty that was my inspiration so thanks to whoever that...
couple more snaps from the session at GDI, only poor phone pics im affraid, nothing special but thought id bung em up! sounded awesome in the unit, quite a large place and it tends to echo around a bit in there.
