You're not supposed to adjust the gap on the plug as they're platinum tipped. Check it has the correct plugs, these engines are SO sensitive to plugs. Should be NGK PFR6E-10

Other way round, it comes for non dephaser models and you change it to a dephaser model with MOT1509-01
