Thermostat can be done by unbolting the housing and changing it quickly I believe, you will lose some coolant but you just top up what is lost after.
The coolant sensor is located on the right hand side of the engine sort of below the throttle body I think, That un bolts, obviously you will...
Might be worth doing a search on the coolant temperature sensor as well, I think there can be problems with the wiring or connection there.
And if you change the thermostat I think I'm right in saying genuine only for the part.
I had a feeling that might be the answer.
What can I trust then? the car feels better, Ill check the pressures tomorrow with my guage and see. There's analog gauge in halfords which looks well made I might go for, Or is digital better?
Possibly mate, does anyone know if the motor that runs it can be fixed when the blower box is out of the car?
I haven't had any clicking mate no, I read in another thread when the fans are turned on or off the flap opens or closes? seems mine is stuck in open as I said I closed it but If it its...
Just out of interest, have seen the odd discussion on this once in a while, I got the general gist of things that petrol station air pumps dont have to be as strictly serviced as tyre fitters equipment?
Its just I have a hand held tyre pressure gauge, its not the best by a long way. One front...
I see Type D only recommended quite a bit here, I spoke to a Renault tech whilst buying a part ages ago he said they where using blue stuff at the time :S still bought type D (for another car)
My current car has an orange type coolant and was changed at a Renault garage (going from the notes)...
No I think it just comes out through the access hole, see this link, if you search through threads you will find your answer for sure.
Think its unclip plug, 2 bolts and lift out carefully (avoiding wires etc)...
If you look on the outside of the car where the wipers are there is a plastic cover on the drivers side. If you lift the bonnet up for more access you will see (im going from memory here) one plastic screw that is lifted up with a flat heat screwdriver, then I think theres a long plastic clip...
Found the flap by reaching up inside the car above the pedals, recirculate flap was open, can feel the cold air rushing through which was why my feet where cold, have closed it...
But the recirculate button does nothing, left closed is fine for me, but is there any way to fix it?

I've never had a problem before but driving home today in the 0c weather my feet where frozen, was having a look at the clutch pedal cable to see how it was linked the other day and thought I might have knocked something, but I haven't.
I see the outlet for the drivers side is about 4cm...

£91.56 inc vat at euro cp... would be ordering now but dont have the cash in my account, the 30% code was linked on here and think its only a weekend code but similar ones always seem to crop up.
Next best is Car parts for less...
Fiberglass the back, and for the front try and find some 'clear resin' or 'surfboard resin' thats what I remember it as from when I attempted some carbon pieces.
Paint it on, let it set, sand it back rough>smooth grades of sandpaper then polish.
Will give Adam at Autoworld a ring in a few weeks time, see what his price is.
On the same subject of whos cheapest, with 30% off code at Euro car parts, the cheapest I can find a sport Valeo clutch is currently £91.50~ anyone cheaper over the phone or is that it for a low price?
