Luckily have my grandads flat drive just over the road from me, I've attempted once to jack my car up on the ever so slight slope and I decided never again!
Wish I had a double garage with a lift... One day maybe :approve:
With just skimming through this thread I would advise first to check if its had the cambelt changed? its too easy to focus on cosmetics then have a car than runs like a bag of s**t and feels like its on its last legs.
If its cost £500 it must have some things that need doing? Id be more...
Updating the thread because its nice to see a solution to a problem thread. Thanks for the above answers, I took the inlet off the car today, there was about half a tea mug's worth of old black oil at the back of the intake, cleared all that out and then removed the throttle body, was black and...
There are two types of band, I went for the ear plier method, google images the bands... they sort of have teeth that lock onto the band then the plier tightens the band securely...
My grandad just popped round and before I could speak said the same thing about the oil after speaking to his friend, so it just gets dumped there and has no where to go?
Anyone got a guide to remove the plastic inlet or is it straight forward?
When I owned my 1.2 I occasionally have the problem, cold start in cold conditions and it would start then stall, how old is your battery? things on mine where better after I changed mine.
MAP sensor is £105 from Renault, If it was cheaper Id have a new one fitted for him but Im leaning towards...
My grandads 1.2 16v has a current issue, when he reverses out of his drive, or comes to stop at a junction he saids he feels like he constantly has to catch the revs to stop it from stalling, I've been out for a drive with him because I thought it was just his gentle approach to the accelerator...
Bottom brassy coloured one is standard or is on my 182 and seen the same on a few 1.2s.
The retaining clip popped off my top one and the pin wiggled its way out until the door dropped, so that's possibly why its been changed.
Interesting project, shame about the damage, get more pics up!
What was wrong with the white? just didnt like it? should have done the bonnet and roof white as well, same with the strips and put the rest of the money into pulling the white look off imo.
I've laid a monitor flat and opened word or paint for the white background, laid the slide on and then taken pictures of the slide with my camera with decent results previously.
Anybody got pics of there homemade tools?
Would something like this work? correct size spanner with the handle cut off and a 3/4 sized hole dremeled out ?
Cheers for the link, have just read on another thread about cup rods only being available from Renault only. Is that 172 cups only? If a 182 has both cup packs that includes the suspension as well doesn't it? will that mean its a renault only job or the above link fine?
John has helped me over PM with regards to step by step, very helpful so appreciate that, will post my results in here rather than bother him again for now.
Firstly I reset the head unit, then checked the crackling front passenger speaker, was a slightly lose connection which fixing seemed to...
Im in the loughton area mate, I appreciate your offer, I might take you up on that if I can solve it myself,
Reading back to the top, John, yeah the first set of comps came with no boxes as someone used the box and tweeters for a audio install, I bought the fusions new and wacked them in...
