So dump the old, put the hose back on fill again with fresh water after flushing, let that cycle round and then dump the water and refill with coolant right?
Yeah I used Type D when changing my grandads 1.2 coolant, Its like radioactive piss.
Cheers Alastair that sounds like what Ive got, its orange red. Will try and change it for type D next service.
I've got a quick question... does the car need to be hot i.e. thermostat open, and will this allow...
Does anyone know what brand or type of coolant the orange I currently have in my coolant system is?
The service history for my car was mainly Renault so Im just wondering if its used by Renault?
I know Type D is only recommended, Ive spoke to a Renault mech who says they use all types in the...
Just reset the brake pedal switch, 3 clicks in from reset seems about right?
Seeing as this light comes on once in a blue moon I guess there's no way to tell but give it time.
Will clean the contacts on the YAW sensor when the battery's disconnected.
Ive done some looking into this, Im seeing the common fix could be brake pedal sensor reset, have also seen it could be steering angle sensor or the YAW sensor underneath the handbrake cover (I thought this was an airbag computer, no?)
I was going to quickly do the brake pedal reset, but could...
The crackles in the paint could be a reaction to something left on the surface underneath the fresh paint.
Best to get some panel wipe to clean any grease / wax left on the paint to minimize reaction of the new paint.
I take it thats including fitting?
Some things listed are very high priced, take the car to a reputable garage or speciallist.

Right I've found the guide, read through it briefly.
Anyone done this recently? just wondering how fiddly it is. If I could find someone with a duff regulator set can the metal mount come away from the cabling...
For the last few weeks Ive noticed if I have my window fully down there is a rattle, the same if I have the window far down but not all the way. I removed the door card today to find what it was.
It seems the bare metal support bar in the middle of the large cut out that guides the window down...
Yep I agree, if you look in my project thread Ive got an OEM bub vs. the hids direct bulb, build quality looks fine. Someone said they'd been running them for 2 years no problems.
The 15 quid ones from Hids direct are really just the £5 ones from Hong Kong off ebay, the company seems to resell them. I bought a set of Hids direct 5k and have had no troubles to be honest. Bought the set from Hids direct then got the ebay set which is identical just as a backup but dont...
Best bet is to nip down to your local tyre and exhaust place if you have one, give them your info and ask them nicely if they could weld it up at the crack. The exhaust paste drys and cracks off so isnt worth while.
Hopefully the washers go un noticed. I wouldn't worry about them, just the...
I thought they where fantastic at first because of the novelty but there just alright now, might revert back to standard if I cant find the rubber gaskets. Never had any problem using them whilst driving though, some people seem to have trouble straight away and being non adjustable theres not...
I've been running the mist jets which I think I got from Citroen for a while, but noticed the jets start to get a white line around the bottom from dirt etc, we also have a Peugeot 207 on the drive which has almost identical if not the same mist jets, but has a plastic gasket underneath which...
