Looks absolutely amazing! Wish my odyssey looked like that. Get some silvervisions all around and clear side repeaters and you're done (I hate orange :o)
Haven't done anything to the car for ages. Came back from finishing uni placement last weekend so decided to do a few bits this week.
Had a proper clean inside and out and tried out the camera on my new phone and got around to using the turtlewax I bought about 6 months ago.
Then decided it...
Project seems to be headed in the right direction! A few cheap, effective mods are: RS grill, silvervision bulbs, sport/dynamique spoiler (as previously mentioned) and colour coding (also previously suggested). Have you considered lowering springs or coilovers? They make a huge difference...
Yeah, to my knowledge at least anyway. My spoiler is off a ph1 172 and the colour matches up perfectly, plus when I went to get some paint mixed they told me the paint code meant that it was Odyssey blue. Also, most of the cars posted in this thread are ph2s.
Really like the mods you've done so far. I quite like the wheels although I imagine some won't, but it's all about what you like! For me it needs to be lowered quite a lot and spacers are a must, also have you considered colour coding? I'd suggest some silvervisions or diadem indicator bulbs if...
I'd definitely get it if I were you, save you a lot on spraying costs. I'd assume so, although I got the arch liners with mine too because I was told you'd have to modify it in some way to get it to fit/line up without them (I'd ask someone else about that though because I'm really not sure)...
Thanks :) just got the 172 rear bumper, standard front bumper but colour coded. I did the side strips myself, the materials must've cost about £30-£40 and it took me a few days to do. The rest of the colour coding was done professionally and cost £250, but that included the price of the rear...
Greetings fellow Odyssey blue non-sport owner! Your plans sound good to me, things I'd always recommend are: coilovers (although 40mm lowering springs may well be enough), 172 rear bumper, spacers, and all the sheep mods (colour coding, silvervision indicator bulbs, clear side repeaters etc.)...
Thanks Dan.
Would I be able to try and source another black plug thing to set the bottom one up right? Anyone know if the order of the wires matters if I do go and put the loose wires in a plug?
I rattle canned mine and i'm certainly no spraying expert. I used some satin black hammerite stuff from halfords that you didn't even need primer with, just sanded down the grill with various grades of wet and dry then sprayed it with this stuff, turned out great and only cost ~£10. I just mean...
Love flamers! Could definitely do with a slight drop in my opinion, seems high for a sport. Then (as previously mentioned) it'd benefit from spacers and possibly a cup spoiler. I'm not sure if it's just the picture but the font on the bullets (bits on the side that say 2.0 16v) looks a bit odd...
Thanks for the reply. So the one with the small black plug is correct? I couldn't see where I was supposed to put that even. Does it plug into the wiring from my existing headlights?
The wiring on the xenons i recently purchased from another member (with intentions of fitting them to my non sport) seems to have some unusual wiring. They look like this:
If anyone has a picture of what it's supposed to look like that would be great.
Thanks
Thanks for the reply. Do you think that both sides have been bodged? Any idea if I can get it back to how it should be, and how I'd go about doing that?
Bought some 172 xenons to fit to my non sport. Went to fit them today and realised there was no way I could connect any bulbs to them with their current wiring. I'm not sure what the wiring is supposed to look like in these. Mine looks like this (see pic below), anyone know how I can sort this...
Ok, it's just that I'm only here until Tuesday and since my Dad will be helping me to change the headlights and he'll only be able to help over this weekend. Trying to find somewhere to buy the bulbs from, can get them £15 online but they wouldn't be here until next week. Only place I've found...
Thanks Jesus, judging by the results from a google search of D2S, it seems that's the right bulb.
I was planning on fitting these tomorrow afternoon but i won't be able to get the bulbs by then, is it still possible to change the bulbs as easily as before once the xenons are on? Or should I...
Thank you. Yes you should lacquer over the stickers, especially the gear insert one, since i rubbed the '2' off mine due to not lacquering. I was just impatient and wanted it fitted, didn't want to wait a day for the lacquer to dry. But I would suggest that you do if you decide to do something...
Just wondering if I can fit the bulbs from my standard reflectors into the projector (172 xenon) headlights that i'll be fitting at the weekend. Or are the a different size/type of bulb? If so, could someone please tell me what size i need or send me a link for bulbs you'd suggest. Thanks
^This. Dan's done pretty much everything that's needed doing to my car (including clutch, cambelt, brakes etc.) he really knows what he's doing and he's a great guy. He's a clio expert, but I imagine a 106 shouldn't be a problem for him.
Going to be putting xenon headlights from a 172 onto my non-sport next weekend. Just wondering which bulbs people use in them? I'd like them to be a crisp, white light rather than the standard yellow. Also, if there's anything I should know about putting xenons in a non sport please let me know...
Thanks Jesus, they looked pretty old and rusty when I had the discs and pads changed to be honest, how much am I looking at for new calipers? Is it something that needs to be sorted immediately?
