Help me, track day in two days. Steering light and then heavy.

@Mike@Rentech @NorthloopCup cheers guys. I'll get the loop off later and try it. That would make sense as I had to move the car around without the loops of bung in as I was waiting on parts. How much fluid needs to be in there as I drained quite a bit out of it :S

Help me, track day in two days. Steering light and then heavy.

Finally finished my cup today although when I drove it there was an extremely odd sensation from the steering. Whether the EPAS is on or not the steering feels loose for about 20 degress (each way) of steering wheel movement and as soon as you get past this point it becomes much harder and has...

    172 Cup track toy build

Glad you get lots of use out of this Mark. It's nice and clean for a track car! Do you run your stealth with a decat. I've got the super sport on my cup with a 182 mani and decat and have no idea if it's going to make the 102 limit

    Dash LED

Just do it yourself. The soldering really isn't hard at all and actually quick a good job to do as your first one. Maybe you could get a set of old clocks to practice on first although I just went in straight away and didn't have any problems.

Graham's summer 172 cup track car

Thank you for all the nice comments chaps. Today didn't go quite to plan and I had a bit of a lazy day. @Martin. popped over this morning on his way home so we went out for a spin with me as passenger because I'm not actually insured on the car, my rents are. DOC cover is a wonderful thing and...

New Box, Serious Juddering on N/S wheel under load. Any Ideas?

I think this is a case of trying the cheapest things first. If the engine/box can be moved over a bit then that's the first trick. Second would be to try a shorter driveshaft as the shaft. Really Mart needs to look at the angle of the shaft to establish what's happening under compression and...

Update time. Claude made it, through seven countries, up mountain passes, round the nurburgring, 110 on the autobahn and 2400 miles........relatively unscathed although it was a serious hammering and has certainly bought out it's defects. I'll put up a holiday thread in General Chat but to cut...

Graham's summer 172 cup track car

Well I barely got anything done to the car this weekend because of a few hiccups with parts. The little spacers for the harness mounts are marginally to large but not deep enough to fit in the harness fittings. I'll sort that out with mr drill soon. I did manage to get the battery relocated...

    Clio Sport 182 Front Bumper

Mr rep here. My advice, get a body kit in the colour of your car. It will save you time, money and hassle with paint issues. 182 exhaust will look silly unless the car is the same registration year as a 182. It's also a lot of money to spent on an exhaust for just a "look" The plug for the...

Battery mega fuse needed when relocating battery?

Evening guys I'm in the process of relocating my battery and want to know if I can bin this from the original positive terminal as I'm going to be running a mega fuse next to the battery. I understand it's just a megafuse. Merci

Graham's summer 172 cup track car

Very quick update. Car is pretty much ready to go on track now but I've lost all my free time now so will have to do the last bits in the evenings. Before I went away I got some omp subframe a fitted. And the exhaust is all on the car now. Just a quick list of the bits left to do though...

Graham's summer 172 cup track car

@sburrell93 It's a good thing I think as they usually go back together...although they have been known not to! Today I managed to get a little bit more work done on the car as now we've finished Martin's I'm stoked to get on track. It's really nice to know I don't really have much to do any...

Graham has gross clothes. Will have to sort that PMS. I'm sure it's a case of just tinkering around with with it for hours until it's right. Nothing a 13mm and an allen key can't solve.

I should have explained better! the CHRA they supply is chinese but the rebuild turbos they do are a different CHRA which is why I got the whole unit. You can actually buy the decent CHRA from them separately although they don't list it on ebay. Odd I know but I triple checked before I bought...
