mk2 clio dci 65 and donor 80 dci parts

@van88 Take the intercooler and rad set up. You might need the lower radiator hose depending on which spec your original dci 65 is. The injectors are different but the fuel pump is the same. Swap over the ecu/uch/key fob/decoder ring with the injectors and you won't need to code them to the...

    Remap problems

That's misleading as he would be buying a kit which matches the replacement UCH. I'm really not certain what problems you would actually have though, none as far as I am aware. Also the immob code is only linked to the VIN on renaults sytem. If you want a key made you just get the UCH/ecu read...

    My blowers have blown!

Sorry matey my comment probably came across as blunt but I didn't mean it to! The soldering is actually very easy but it's making sure the transistor has sufficient purchase on the heatsink which is the difficult part. You could probably use some thermally conductive glue but I had to do mine...

The girlfriend strikes again! Crash No.3

Well that is actually b****cks. The shop will just do some spray out cards to get the paint right. Shouldn't be a problem at all now. If you go somewhere with a dupot chromavision or something similar. This is how you do paint nowadays and you won't be able to tell the difference.

@NorthloopCup Any idea where I can buy the tripods Mark. I can't seem to find them apart from on ropey russian sites. Just looking to save a bit of dosh.

Anyone know what size oil filter socket tool?

It's this one. I have one. Makes life a lot easier. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LASER-TOOLS-3882-OIL-FILTER-WRENCH-76MM-X-12-FLUTES-/200824492177?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2ec2129091

airbag and service light on after changing seats

You must have a resistor in the wrong place because the system is self checking and will only show a light if an error is current.

    What's this part?

It's the map sensor. As said it should be relatively snug.

    My blowers have blown!

Does sound like the resistor pack as the transistor in the pack is what controls the fan speed. It can have various symptoms including no fan at all, fan stuck on full and fan only works on full. The fan setting is controlled from the climate panel buts it's a direct connection to the fan...

    Remap problems

Lets clear this up. You can buy a replacement ecu kit (ecu, uch (n2 if no rain sensor, n3 if rain sensor), key fob and decoder ring) from a breaking 182 for about £50-80. It's plug and play and requires no programming to your car. If you can get one from a car which has an RS tuner map on then...

    My blowers have blown!

There's a man near you that will be able to plug it into clip and tell you exactly what's going on. If your external temp sensor reading okay? If so I'd rule that out. Blown air is another temp sensor as is internal cabin temp sensor (try another one of these if you have the facility) Does the...

    Heated Windscreen

I haven't got a heated screen but I paid £50 to have my screen fitted by a local windscreen chap and I don't see why it would be different for heated screens.

Confirm my driveshaft has gone, video inside

Yippee Will look into the tripod but it may well be cheaper to get a second hand one in the end. Picked my last one up for £20 IIRC. Ph1 should do the job too I think.

When I emailed they said they were ready to order them and on the facebook it looks like they're ready to go.

Can I stop 182 alarm bleeping

Alarms are aftermarket so not in the factory loom. They don't show on clip. In the guides there are some instructions for the two models fitted to the ph2s.

Wishbone, subframe and rear axle differences

I believe the larger rear ARB was only on 182 cups although that could be wrong. I read somewhere once that cup pack cars didn't have it but normal cups did. et38.5 wheels on the 172 cup and et48 on the normal 172 alloys. @NorthloopCup knows about the hubs don't ya!

New Mark Fish bucket seat subframes. Anyone tried them?

Evening chaps Looking at getting some subframes for the clio in the next few weeks. Was wondering if anyone had tried or had experience of the latest Mark Fish subframes and how their price compares to OMP/Cobra equivalents. I enquired with MF a while ago but they weren't sure on price at the...

roof wrap, resealing sunroof and aerial replacement

yeah I've taken them out. It's just a nut on the bottom which clamps it onto the roof. you need to pull back the headlining to get at it. Good idea to put the bead around the edge but use the foam underneath. Then you can take it off with the wrap should you need to.

    Oil cooler

I had exactly the same fear about push on hose but can say its absolutely crazy how tight it is. It's not coming off without being cut off the barbs. Found some more pics of mine. Like @EZ Tutty I had 1/2 bsp or 13mm. Mine was mocal push fit. Bought 3m which was plenty. Couldn't push these on...

roof wrap, resealing sunroof and aerial replacement

Stock seal is a crappy piece of foam. Get some sika flex 291. Put it on the sunroof frame, put it in then put a bead around the edge of the sunroof. Use masking tape to make sure you get a fine line on the bead and it doesn't go over the paint. Mine has been done for over a year now with...

Confirm my driveshaft has gone, video inside

Notice a bit of a clunk the otherday when moving the car around and going from first to reverse. Thought it might be the driveshaft as it sounded similar to another I had go a few years ago. When I first got the car I noticed quite a rythmic shaking when accelerating hard. You can see the...
