The mechanic sound like he's being silly realy you'll always find some oil there.
If you've never topped it up its not buring any so there no problem.
Handbrake cam be connon there two 10mm nuts just need doing up just pull the cover of and you'll see the nuts.
Could be low on oil the box or the engine mount worn they do wear.
Aux belt is 2.1 hour work the cambelts 5.1hours. AUX has to come off to do cambelt but cambelts are a pain.
You need a speail tool realy to do the belts don't bother doing either aux or cambelt unless you have the tools and have done them before.
Loads have had them fail the rules used to...
Welcome
Enjoy your stay.
Only way to check you have the cup pack is to turn the wheel and measure the distance between the center of the two bolts whoch hold the shock to the hub if its 60mm then its cup packed if 54mm its not.

In simple terms it won't give a rich etc reading as your not putting in any more fuel the fuel with higher RON just will resist being squashed more before it self ignites.
Shop around the Renault minute garages as well and be willing to travel you can get it done for £150 if you shop round dealers and ask to price match etc.
BTW if you think say 2 hours labout at £70 an hour then say £60 for the stuff then £200 ins't that far off.
£25 for the sensor
£25 for the loom
The looms never chnaged the sesnor chnaged and the new loom is there to help ensure the sensor and loom don't fail.
Thats because theres seemingly less and less people on here willing to help or post anything productive.
