    1.2 have the smallest ARB at 22 or 23mm then theres two more sizes the dci and 1.6 having the thickest at 26mm I think or so. 172 I think 24mm

    Its private properly most dealers and most techies don't have access to it. Yes Don't forget phase 1 and 2 wiring looms are complety different Tell him just to follow the lines most likly the pickup rings broken they do fail a bit.

    Depend on the chip and what its been programmed to do. Don't bother with the unichip though or any piggy back since the stock ECU can now be mapped by so many places so well.

    You don't have to do the waterpump on the 1.2 or 1.4 or dci or 1.6 its optional and not a bad idea but there no need to. If its leaking then you'd know about it as you'd always be topping it up as such and should kave found the problem not left it.

    The phase 2 172 boxes are all the same cup or normla The phase 1 have a longer ratio box though. The 182 have a slightly different ratios again.

    182 with cup packs have different hub bolt spacing. 182 without cup packs and 172 all have the same hub.

    Yep you can use a phase 2 dash on a phase 2 and a phase 1 dash on a phase one but you cannot mix the two phases.

    If the aux belt brakes it takes out the cambelt most of the time but your right in theory the only problem is the aux belt powers the coolent pump so if the aux belt did brake and didn't take out the cambelt then very quickyl your have a head gasget failed how long depends on loads of thing sbut...

    IMO If you cars at 36k and ages of 4 years old then just get the aux belt done If your near 60k or 4 years then get the whole lot done IMO.

    The valve isn't cheap but its shoulnd't be that price they must have done other things for that, but usually it can be fixed as such by a good cleaning. Renault you need to get the car to renault or someoen with a computer clip to see what fault codes are being thrown up as there so complex...
