Genuine Coilpack from Renault cost me £52

I had this exact same problem with my 172 Cup - exactly the same symptoms. I fitted bosch super 4 plugs and the coil pack failed almost immediately. Im not sure of the cause, but its definitely related to the spark plugs (maybe difference in resistivity putting a greater load on the coilpack)...

check the sensor attached to the dark green pipe - this leaked on mine. They cost about £50 to replace. Try tightening carefully if its loose - but dont swing off it because you'll snap it off.

Them roundabouts were very slippy, at one point I had it spinning the inside wheel in 3rd gear - bloody salt. It's a stealthy powerflow stainless steel cat-back. I've never heard it from outside the car - is it chav loud or just a bit noisy? Kev

Is it necessary to drain the gearbox oil when changing the Drivers Side drive shaft on a 172 Cup?

Mine did this - have a good look at the coil pack -sometimes they overheat and split. New one cost me £50 from renault.

Just bought a megaphone frome Ebay, should be able to loosen those nuts if I swear through it....
