I took a closer look on the ktec website and its saying they are 85db @4500rpm so should be absolutely fine. Plus a £60 penalty for a quieter exhaust is too much inmy mind lol
Got it off okay. Broke one clip though but it hadnt affected it so thats okay.
Little tip in case anyone stumbles on this thread. The clips that seem to actually hold the plastic in place are the ones at the top probably about 8 on total. The trick is like warwickstingray said is NOT to pull...
I also came from a saxo/106 background and these are like a better version that you can live with everyday.
Interesting you say the ktec system isnt that loud. That said yours is a 182 so has a different exhaust from the phase 2 172's. Im looking to purchase the ktec system but insure on...
Ive just had a thought...where you have struck through just mask that area off and start again. Primer over the top, colour and then lacquer. Maybe give it a polish once its been dry for a day or so to blend In with the rest of it but from the photos the paintwork looks fine other than that!
With reference to this spoiler if I have the standard sport spoiler is there anything I need to do to fit this? ie does the brake light and all that fit it?
The turbo'd 182 I saw at my last trackday a while ago looked like it needed an lsd....the thing was pouring smoke from its tyres at every corner and im sure I was faster in my Twingo lol
From what I hear with decat it may be too loud for track.
I think I may go for the silenced version in case I ever get cams etc. Don't want to turn up to a trackday and get sent away!
Oh and the wheel badges are also easy to do as they just push out of the round covers. I have some satin black for my grille too which I need to get round to doing..
Cos they are bought cheap by sheep farmers off their mates, then ragged around the amazing quality welsh roads and not serviced or maintained at all. Well thats my experience of welsh car owners..
When you think about it there aren't many cars that are faster than a Clio 172/182/200etc that dont cost an absolute shitload more to keep on the road vs the performance gain.
If you think a megane is the next "level up" from a 200 and how much more that costs to buy/run/insure/tax/fuel/etc/etc
If I had the cash I'd do it rather than buying a new car. Saying that the only new car I would probably buy is a Megane 275.
That said if I had over 2k I would be buying 2k's worth of suspension brakes and tyres over a turbo...
