My advice is primer it and wait for it to FULLY dry. Then LIGHTLY apply a fine coat of blue, wait a few mins, apply some more and do it in stages till the colour looks uniform. Give it 15 mins or so and give it a nice few even coats of lacquer preferably in a well lit area so you can see it...
Also are they easy to fit to a phase 2 172?
I havent even been under the car yet so hoping its as simple as unbolt old one and whack new one on? Or is it more involved than that?

Also as I plan to do trackdays and also use it as a daily do I need the centre silencer?
Im used to the traction issues especially in the wet coming from 106's if you get the wheels spinning to a certain point you can sort of use it to your advantage to a point. Just saw the new civic type r ad by the way!
Car looks amazing! Honda are going for the FWD lap record but at 30 grand...
Im definately staying away for £28 lol thats some camber bolts and shims!
Hmm im not a fan of fecking around with parts. Do cup spoilers just "bolt on"?
It was a great idea in theory because I was being a cheapskate and didnt want to buy new badges or pull the old ones off so I could spray the edges....so play dough LOL.
How much is trophy spoiler? Pics? My back end looks too boring imo
Im still not convinced on them badges. Are they still £20 or something stupid? I tried a stupid plan involving play dough as masking tape which didnt go as planned on my car today. That went wrong so mine currently only has the clio badge which I think looks quite tidy.
I've decided to keep my car in my carport now too
because for such a standard looking car (I even think it looks like a 1.2) it gets the wrong attention. Just last night I had two guys walk past my house saying "that car is just a chav with an engine" they then noticed me and were like "but I'd...
Hey c'mon have faith! I full on harassed a local 458 owner on my favourite backroad in the Twingo LOL That was full on epic fun if a tad naughty...i found out a few months later that it was bought for him and that he didnt care for it much (it had some scuffs on the rear bumper and a crack) that...
LOL i was gone a while and came back to this !
If im honest im pleasantly surprised at the speed of the thing. It is after all a Clio and not a turbo Megane but it seems fast enough that i COULD harass some supercars in it. I am used to the power now and having owned other french hatches in...
Yeah sounds good. Ideally want the car in as good nick as possible for the spring/summer and trackdays. Exhaust will need doing by then too as its starting to blow slightly from the backbox. Thinking of getting a janspeed stealth catback.
From there it will be tyres and will look at the...
The first two years are epically pants if you are a bloke! It gets better from then on! My son js almost 3 and apparantly "Daddy's car is fast" and "I love it" and there's a fair amount of "Go fast Daddy" too lol
Takes me back to when I was the one saying it
I notice there is a big price difference too! Just been out for a blast and gelling with it more now. Helps it hasnt rained in a day and a half so the roads are basically dry :)
Its definately the tyres as they squawked on a small roundabout that I never had problems with in my Twingo RS. Must...
I think the main reason I ask is because my car just feels too understeery the only time the back end plays is when hard on the brakes. Im pretty sure this handling trait is almost certainly because of the fact I have such shite tyres though.
I think it would look good. If it actually gave downforce too that would be even better.
Does anyone know why the little slat thing on the rear bumper of standard 172/182's isnt cut out? Instead has that little black plastic covering it?
Unless you have a fetish for capsi red I don't see the point unless it has really low miles.
That said I think you would have to wait YEARS AND YEARS before it would be worth anything good. Its not like its a GT3rs or something like that. It is still essentially a Renault with plastic front...
I've been messing about with cans for a few months now and have pretty much got it nailed.
I usually just do a few light coats of primer till its one solid grey colour, some people sand between coats but I tend not too and then do the same with your chosen colour. The tricky part can be the...
Got round to doing the rear badge which was fairly straightforward..
and also did the wheel badges too which was nice and easy as they pop out!
Just got the front bumper black bits to do now.
Might look into getting a SS exhaust as my backbox is looking a bit sorry for itself and is...
