Think there's a diagram on here somehwere that explains where each wire needs to go... Couldn't see it from a quick search but certain there is one around.
Would change my insurer from Churchil to Bell right now if I knew what it would cost me...
Savings would be just over 200 quid (like for like policy - no mods yet) but I've had the policy for 2.5 months + a cancellation fee... not sure if it's worth it.
I swear to God I've tried Bell before.........
Just done a quote with all valid info, bro and dad added (mum doesn't drive) and all planned mods declared and it's a bit less than I pay with Churchil at the moment!!!
SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
Oh, thanks btw. ;)
Edit - Ah, that's on...
Done online quotes from the rest of those suggested... These are the ones that would insure me.
Company | Cover | Annual Premium
Elephant | FC | £4283.45
Elephant | TPFT | £3474.95
Admiral | FC | £4091.30
Admiral | TPFT | £3331.10...
Quinn-direct online quote: £5,735.71
(and the car value was set to £4000 with maybe £600 of mods)
By the looks of it I have no choice but to wait... :'(
Phoned Endsleigh and got quoted £4000 and something (fully comp), then put through to some other company who said I need to speak to another company who then needed to put me through to their main branch when I gave up. WTF!
Will give the others a go later... this really sucks.
Jesus...
Anbody have any experience with insurance companies that are "ok" with mods as a young driver?
I don't mind paying out a bit more to have mods, but I'm currently with Churchil (they were cheapest out of those I checked) and they don't allow mods.
Will be things like interior mods, exhaust...
Well, glad we solved that one then... lol.
I'm not currently with them, just looking at some quotes earlier.
I think I'll stick with the 1.2 and get a couple years NCB first. Anyone got some RS bumpers for sale?!
:)
Have been looking at other insurance plans for next year on a slightly more powerful car (probably a 1.6) and morethan wern't that bad considering I done the quote with < 1 year experience, 0 no claims and 18 years old but saw this in their policy..
Does this mean cosmetic mods won't increase...
