Hello everyone. I did a search on here to find out whether anyone had problems with "sticky" throttle. Not only is my throttle sticking at 2000 rpm, but its going up and down between 1000 and 2000 rpm. Can anyone tell me what my car is saying to me? Ta very much

Hey there. Ive bought some new improved magnatec 10W 40, just wondering if its good enough to use in my 172. Surely its better than that Elf K&Y jelly they put in at the factory.....
Does anyone else use Magnatec?

You know a while back i told you folks with mk.1 172s to try the noise trick by taking off the two tubes leading to the airbox? well, make sure you put them back onto the same holes in the air box, as i found out the hard way (well kinda). I posted a thread about my car losing power recently...

Now this may be all in the mind, but my car felt painfully slow the other day. Im always doing that trick where you disconnect the two pipes from the airbox and roaring around with a nice sound etc. But, the other day my car was idling really weirdly after a toasting session on a fast road...

We bought a C-reg Metro Turbo for £150 and it was quite quick (lightened due to rusting). The rust on the rear was so bad i pulled a huge hole in the rear panel! we did a quatilly repair job by sellotaping paper over the hole and spraying it in the same colour - looked mynt.

Ive been toasted by a Porsche 911 Turbo on the A3 M towards london (3 lane bit) I came up parrallel with him, with me in the outside lane and my bro looked over to him, he smiled and then reached over into my car, selected reverse and his car just launched away at over 80 mph and beyond. (im...

This has occurred ever since ive had my beloved 172. Whenever ive stomped on the brakes quite hard, and let off, its like a pump is sucking the brake fluid or something? Makes a noise like this: "dzzzzzz" (say it out loud and youll get the idea).
p.s. for my new job i have to drive along...

Because, if its a closer ratio in the mk.2 they might (hopefully) be fitting that to my car on monday instead of the mk.1 gearbox.....? what are the ratio differences? or is the final drive slightly diff(!)erent.

Heres my mates Peugeot 205 Rallye 1360cc. Hes selling the car and wants it to go to an enthusiasts home, possibly as a project for track days or for use as a second hand car. I know some of you have posted on this board looking for such a thing and thought it would be a good opportunity to...
