Played around with camber today on my coilovers after fitting my ARB bushes,
i think i went a bit over the top and put it on max, i no it was silly but though id try it and it rubbed on the adjuster rings on the coilovers, and drove like a bag of s**t
any one ever had this problem before ?

+1 to this,
I can get cheaper acrylic and was going to do the door cars with some black stuff, but like yourself I need some sort of template to get me started.
I had this for ages assumed the lumpy idle was normal kept getting a missfire and wouldn't drive at low revs and all that
and turned out to be the timing. 20 degrees out :boring:
yer i dont think they wer feeding me a load of s**t but i dnt think its as serious as theyve said but like u say it shows there is more to be had out of the engine due to you getting 197BHP i bet your over the moon with that result. Time to get :race:
that would be nice so you think i should be happy with that graph and not worried about what k-tec were trying to feed me about needing new rings and stuff cause power was down :S
thats what i thought as well but my mates 172 cup made 183.2 BHP that was a good figure maybe thats what i was...
i was told 20-22 by rentech when they done the cambelt, the car did run like a bag of s**t, miss fired quite alot could'nt idle properly and various other things but i thought it was ment to be like that after searching loads on here everyone said they wer lumpy :S but obviously there was a...
it WAS 22 degrees out mark ive had it all timed up along with a new cambelt and dehpaser
and jimbo thats what i was thinking the car is nearly 10 years old and is still running a little over standard power so cant be doing to bad surely
but might get it mapped just to waste some money and see...
Went to the k-tec rolling road today was a good turn out there was loads of cars the some big power was run as well :)

its a bit down on what i wanted but thats life,
the person at k-tec said it was running quite lean and was also a tiny bit smoky which he put...
That's the idea was wondering of anyone had sizes ?
Sorry to be so un-clear,
Do u have any mesurements tony ?
Or am I better buying the cheap camber shims and then getting the sizes from them ?
Was woundering if any one has the rear sizes or any mesurements for the rear axle ?
Looking to get some 8-10mm spacers made by a local metal workshop, that bolt between the rear axle and the brake setup ?
Any info please comment or pm me
Cheers dan
i used auto glym engine cleaner and the used bery high temp paint
yer indeed it is, it actually isnt that bad thought it would be worse than it is
i used halfords high temp black and silver paint, and used news paper to mask up bits i didnt want sprayed.
cheers for all the good comments as well
Well last night fancied tidying the bay up and sorting out a miss fire which i believe was one of the ignition leads,
i started by taking the plenum off and de-greasing the rockor cover and then spraying with high temp silver paint, and then doing the plenum at the same time,
heres a few pics...
