Coming back from Sheffield, nearly home on the M54 doing 80MPH BANG!!!! Bits of metal come flying out from underneath the car and it lost all its oil and water. There is a big hole in the sump cover so something has come smashing out from the bottom of the engine. Looks like a big warranty job...

What sort of mileage have you clocked up in your 172 and over how long?? I have had mine 3 months now and just clocked up 2400 miles.

Does anyone else have this problem, When breaking heavily from high speed the back end of the car slides skips and squirms around as if the car is trying to do an “endow”. Would lowering the car sort this problem out??? Tim.
