Was just on the Renaultsport Clios I think. At least it was on the 182ff, I'm not actually 100% sure on the 172/182 Cup. The screen has a heat reflective coating: you can tell by the purply colour of the screen when you look at it from the outside.

Lol doesn't look as bad as I'd feared, but still. I wouldn't even want to pay £50 or £60 for a pheasant if it was cooked by Gordon Ramsey, so paying that much after one broke my windscreen.... put it this way, I'd make sure it was dead.

Oof! Ben, sorry to hear that! Pheasants are so effing dumb. They just don't understand to fly out of the way of bigger, faster-moving things! I used to work for a windscreen replacement company, check your policy cos it'll have a windscreen excess on it if it's fully comp. You'll have to pay...

I like Clarkson, but half of that was a rant at something completely unrelated to the car. I mean even the link between the traffic wombles and the car was a bit shakey. Not taking anything away from the guy, he's good at what he does, but this one looks to me like he was running short of ideas...

Tee hee... I beat one of those in my old 306 DTurbo! He was NOT happy and ended up very very nearly binning it after going on to a roundabout far too fast. I'd slowed off for the turn cos I'd proved my point, but they never learn, do they? :rolleyes: They always have to come past once you slow...

Sounds like it's gone into limp home mode. I don't know what the symbol means without looking it up (and my car's in my garage), but whenever that 'SERV' light comes on you know it's 'hand over the beer tokens' time.

Cooper S (the new turbocharged one) has a stunning engine and gearbox, it just lacks the 'rush' of the 182. The older supercharged one was disappointing tbh. Quality was lacking too, it's much better now. If only the speedo was where it should be!

I'm completely legal. If I had extra tuning bits on or anything like that I'd always be a bit concerned about being pulled over. Not worth it in my eyes! Got no problem with adding bits and pieces or whatever, just not for me.

My standard 182 just had a new set of rear discs and pads a week or two ago. The fronts are fine apparently. When I try to stop in a hurry there's a serious lack of bite and really inadequate power compared to my brother's also standard 182. There's nothing obvious at fault - can anybody shed...
