    Your better off using a manual rack from an early 1.2 RN 1998 onwards, the other problem is the steering arms are 12mm each side too short compared to the 172, therefore you'll need to use the steering rods off the hydro rack.

    Like edde said it isnt worth it, The cost in labor alone would be worth more than the car. Out of interest you'd need almost all the wiring, Ecu, Uch clocks, pedalbox gearshift box gearbox clutch and clutch cable.

    There is no extra wire in the new TDC sensor its still 2 wire, the new piece of loom is designed to rule out any problems with a corroded connector or snagged loom, the new TDC has 4 pickups not one as per the old one.

    Its under the car it attaches to the subframe and rear of the gearbox held on by 2 bolts. To test look under the car and get somone to rock the engine you will see movement.
