i have been doing my own trial and errors this year and found the 99 tesco stuff felt fine but mpg was average, the super from sainsburys was 97ron and about 5p a litre cheaper and felt the same and same mpg, v power is about 99.9 p a litre at the moment car drives the same but i do get about 4...
i would say filter, exhaust system with a silenced de-cat, matched inlets and remap and that would give you your best chance of hitting 190 without starting to spend silly money.
the 182 already has a 200cell sports cat so i would save your money and use it for some of the above instead mate...
i cant believe we havnt mentioned his best mod, not the huge exhaust or his k+n masking tape special but those front fog lamps.
im off to search e-bay for some and bolt them onto the 182, keep your eyes open i will try for a group buy.
its ok mate as far as im aware you dont need to declare that one if it was just a £30 fine, you will prob find it isnt even on the drop down options list on the insurance website
i was at my local renault dealers last week and while waiting i sat in the new 197, must have had the keycard nearby as it said on the dash.
"press brake pedal and push start button for engine"
if you stood nest to your car with the keycard and let a mate drive off how far would they get...
looking nice leon,
i see what you mean about the suspension its subtle, good choice. cars lookinh nice will have to organise meeting up when i get back.
although i think your cat daisy is the ff version and not the cup from looking at that picture mate lol
sorry kris i dont, i got a puncture a few months ago and did some ringing around, my brother works at a garge and even he couldnt get me one for less than 100 pound, dave sheldon in mcr had one in stock but due to demand they were asking for 115 quid, they said at the moment there wernt many in...
i've never seen that motor outside his house, looks tidy. but personally would change the wingmirrors back to std ones, the angle of the cup mirrors sweep up and the lines of the car dont match.
on a 24k service they do the oil and oil filter, air filter and cabin filter, evrything else is checking and doing levels etc
i think there was a list done by edde a while back about what they check.
rs tuning use the same elf oil as renault dealers
i am from the mcr area and the 2 local dealers to me both wanted £236 and £244 respectively.
i have called rs tuning (leeds about 45 minutes from us) and they quoted me £150 all in, and as i have an aftermarket panel filter they knock £15 off, so will be £135.
at a dealer in yorkshire today they had 2 x 182 sports with both cup oprions, they were also both on an 05 plate and were 9,995 each i think thats pretty steep even for a dealer.
try some local suppliers im sure you could get a rad for about 65 quid, try german swedish and french.
does your car has a fuel cut switch when it detects an impact it cuts the fuel pump to prevent a big fire, it a small bump it often needs resetting. normally a button somewhere in the engine...
hi mate, looks a bit cheap to be honest, i went to reanult and picked up a boot tidy last month it rests on the parcel shelf. it has non slip mat in the bottom and can be split into different size compartments with spacers. i have found it quite useful, only negative is the colour match.
the...
psyco - when you say sway bar is that what i know as an arb? i know white line also do a front brace, but the design of it and the placing doesnt look like it would make much impact, looking at your spec there is quite a bit of suspension work which may mean your getting better results out of an...
i have been using sainsburys super unleaded 95.9p per litre last 6 months or so and have this week swicthed to v-max, my usual mpg is 28-30 and at the moment my mpg is 34.9 and thats doing same trips into work, driving same etc.
its not an absolute science best thing i can say is have a test...
Fred - when you say sideways on high speed corners and understeer on lower speed was this on track? would these characteristics be displayed on the road?
I may purchase one as all my miles are the usual commute and the odd enthusiastic back road blast so i shouldnt do any harm at the loads i...
have seen that whiteline do a fixed or adjustable rear arb for the 182, i saw one fitted to a trophy yesterday and it looked good but would it make any difference for a road car? positive or negative effects on road conditions?
they are about 115 pound and look like a well made bit of kit, i...
get some soundeadening for the boot mate that should stop any resonating/amplification should only cost a few quid to do the boot floor under the carpet. i have done this on a previous car and it made quite a difference.
it was a shame to bolt it under my car was my first impression the welds are out of this world you just know once its fitted your never going to have to worry about it.
sounded quite subtle and at idle is slightly deeper and under load there is a nice noise, not in your face look at me all...
