i like my btb, not too loud and the quality and fit is excellant.
bit pricey but you get what you pay for, contact shed motorsport i think they only have 1 or maybe 2 of these left and there wont be any more made, should get enough change for a few beers out of 500 pound.
i do mostly short journeys and get between 26 and 30 mpg but if i do a long trip (car show etc) i have seen 36mpg once.
sounds like your just driving it a little hard mate i wouldnt worry too much i bet in a few weeks when the novelty of a new car wears off the mpg figure will start to rise, i...
perhaps get it hpi checked before you go back as that may show something that can help you with your arguement.
basically dont let them win, they are just hoping you give up. they are in the wrong and if you dont get them to sort all the problems/take the car back you will hate the car and end...
loads of past threads mate on exhausts for 182's but basically you have,
GDI
YOZZASPORT
MILLTEK
BTB
i know there are quite a few others i can only comment on the btb as thats the system i have, the build quality combined with the look of the tail pipes and the sound suit my needs.
do a few...
im afraid these are run by taffic wardens believe it or not and they are evidential and can be used for prosecution, there should be signs to inform you of the speed limit/cameras in use. if there arnt any proper ones there they should put up temp ones i think.
they are a farce to be honest a...
yeah but the 182 should be on the higher octane the 1.4 16v is mapped for std unleaded, the super word in the sticker is part of the other language, possibley a country that runs very low ron std unleaded and so the clio needs that countrys super unleaded to vring it upto std levels?
basically...
i have had my btb system on for a few weeks now and the quality of the system and the fit is perfect, its not too loud so doesnt draw attention and tailpipes look just right, gets my vote.
i should be putting my 182 on the rollers later this year for the third time, first run was with just a few thousand on the clock just after its run in period, then ran again 12 months later (both times std) and i will be going back to the same rollers again this year now its had some work done...
cheers for the above, will give it a miss i think. got an anthracite upper rear last week but to be brutally honest i just like the way it looks across the boot more than anything else.
also means when the wife wants to go shopping we use her car now as my boot space is ltd.
i spoke to strutbracer about a lower one and they said there wasnt one for the 182, have you found one?
reason being roads round my way are rubbish and i always found adding these helps smooth out the bumps and when you hit a pothole it doesnt sound like your cars about to fall apart.
has anyone fitted one to their car and if so have they noticed any change?
i ask because i have used lower strut braces on past cars and found them to be pretty good, they dont do one for the 182 however a sump guard does help stiffen the front (i dont want an upper brace) its purely a road...
my wife has the dci 65bhp model and we have just travelled from manchester to oxford from oxford down to brighton and back to oxford then finally back upto manchester on 1 tank of fuel thats about 40 pound and 550 miles. crusies fine on the motorway however i would prob try and get the 85bhp...
could always sand blast the powder coat off a second hand red one, the money saved in picking up a second hand one could cover the cost of blasting it and having it polished.
I have been considering a rear brace for my 182 for a while now but didnt fancy them in red and would have had them re-sprayed then i saw these have just been launched,
front and rear strut braces in anthracite for the 172 and 182, i e-mailed strutbracer.co.uk and as they are only about 20...
with the 200cell cat they do seem to be better once nice and hot, dont get a cheap lambda sensor in the long run they start to give lazy readings and affect fueling/performance etc.
you dont have to goto renault stealers though just get a Bosch from auto parts shop.
i think what he means is it no middle silencer and then one back box with one outlet branching into 2 tailpies?
as long as its made for the 182 sounds like the new gdi and yozzasport design should be fine but make sure its not a 172 system with similar tailpipe design as the 182, its also more...
i agree that an experienced driver will do a better job without abs by keeping it on the point of locking up but... real world with wet sometimes greasy roads and some idiot drivers out there etc its always nice to have it there incase of emergencies.
Quite often instinct kicks in and its hard...
i will be darkening rs tuning's doors later in the year/start next year i hope to get mine remapped just one or two things i need to do first. I spent a while researching the different options and after a chat with paul at FCS its my recommendation.
now i've had it on a few days and manged to find a bit of clear road i would say yes it does, smoother at low revs (especially when in a higher gear at low speeds) and smoothed out the flat spot, overall it does make it a smoother drive and driveability is what its all about. (you still have the...
i think i should have rotated the third pic before e-mailing you dohh.
note the cheeky silver brakes calipers as well, i have had it RR twice before, once after a few thousand miles and then a year later once nicely bed in, now i have added itg panel filter and btb exhaust will have another...
once coked up it wont get any quieter, if you want to tone it down a bit i would re fit your cat mate.
the de cat makes quite a difference to the sound.
yeah steve with the 106 gti put some real hard work in for the top 25, his car had been blown over and in his garage stripped polishing for last 2 weeks and the engine bay bling is all new this year, the other mate on the stand was ben his was the white 306 rallye stripped out and he does about...
