Yeah hair drier does seem to be the best solution. Tbh even if you just washed the dirt to the bottom of the headlight it would be very hard to spot sat along the bottom.
Another method I just thought of which I used to get a stone out of my engine is: Get a hoover and put the narrowest...
Hey I'm about to buy a front bumper off them. Can't see any ebay feedback from you re coilovers - what happened with this? Did they scam you or was it sorted in the end?
Hi looking for some thoughts on price really. Got my flamer about 6 months ago now and there is a crease/dent in the front bumper which is really spoiling the look of the car and the lacquer is peeling too so I've been keeping my eye out for a replacement bumper (and under-tray which is...
I had to do this a while back to fit a new window. If memory serves you need to pull all the horizontal trim off where the window dispaears into the door to give you enough wiggle room to drop the window in. Once it's in you need to find the little plastic clip with a sticky out bit which sits...
Theres a vid on YouTube if you search on g1 gtechniq of someone using all sorts to remove g1 from his drivers window and then showing it still repels the water. So whatever they used on your car must have been brutal!
Spent yesterday using G4 glass nano polish to tidy up the 10yr old glass on the car followed by G1 clear vision smart glass. Just thought I'd post this up and say the 15ml bottle for under a tenner is fantastic. Have previously used rain-x but this is way better and apparently lasts 30,000...
There are traders on here doing cam and aux belt changes for just under the £500 mark, add your dephaser ontop and you're not being ripped off. I'd see how much your garage want to do the aux belt as well though as it's not worth putting an old one back on. The kits are only about £70 from...
Not illegal to ring although the previous owner probably won't thank the current owner for giving you his number (depends on his personality but I wouldn't appreciate the call). As previously said the previous owner probably won't give you much info. Lets say he did flog it on because it had a...
Am thinking about getting some Eibachs and have just been reading this in the guides section http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?579168-Fitting-lowering-springs-to-a-Mk2-Clio on how to change the springs etc.
The last post in the guide says
Re: Fitting lowering springs to a Mk2 Clio...
Just opened up my fob which is also for ph2 172 and it's different to the above pic and is a cr 1220 as per gusy's post. Just open the thing up and check what is in yours. Flat bladed Screwdriver from the back like @Gaz says is straight forward enough
Of course the PO may have replaced the...
Ahh found it on another thread - clockwise down, anticlockwise up.
'You can adjust this on the lights themselves. Mine were crap to start with but are great now they've been adjusted.
There are 2 white Allen key holes at the back of the light, give these a few turns anticlockwise to bring the...
Cheers, its the right one which is pointing up more than the left so def something amiss. As above which way do i need to be turning the adjuster to get the thing to point down assuming I am facing the car clockwise or anti??
As I understand it it's a straight swap from Xenons to poverty spec lights. No need to bugger about with wiring. My passenget xenon plays up btw and I find it's perfect on the auto light setting (i.e comes on when it gets dark automatically) but is flaky on the stalk....
Can someone at least say which way to turn the adjuster to make the lights point at the floor (from the perspective of standing looking from the front bumper down the car i.e. at the drivers seat)
If both are not working check your fuse box. In the wet it's common for moisture to get in and cause problems with the ignition, it may be some water has caused a fuse to trip.
If it's not that then your best to whip both lamps off, take em in the house (airing cupboard overnight is good) just...
Since putting in a new (but second hand) set of xenons on the motor i've been concerned the lights are pointing too high. Have been flashed by a couple of lorry drivers so today tried to adjust them with an allen key but sod all seems to be happening.
I had the engine turned on and the lights...
Right so driving home and the below light comes on. Didn't fancy pulling over and calling the AA at 11pm and the stop light wasn't on so drove gently home and looked it up in the manual and read a few threads on here. So I understand its the emissions light which means something isn't right with...
The noise is the car trying to auto level the beam and is also the reason it's moving up and down. Worth trying the allen key route first but my guess would be that while changing the bulbs you probably twisted the igniter without holding the inner parts still and have popped one or more of the...
Obviously not a 'clean' fix but it won't break again and I have no intention of selling these on, so pretty pleased with the result so far given all the posts on here saying once the plastic joint breaks your only option is a new unit or fix the inner parts still which presumably prevents the...
