I saw a woman in her late 40's (not exactly a pensioner) getting in a clio 172, I never think of mumsy types driving that type of car, maybe she is a wild thing at the weekend :)
I've met loads of silvery 'owd' geezers who own fast cars, my dad for one haha! besides it's usually the only...
Mine was mint when I bought the car on 69k then at 84k the rim has started to resemble a elephant's wrinkley nut sack. Needless to say I wasnt impressed, untill the exact same thing happened to my gf's ka.
What the hell do manufacturers make these things out of, because leather shouldnt melt...
Why don't we club together and pay to get him on the rollers so he can proove that he's not advertising the car falsely, with a print out of his 'extra' 20-30 bhp.
In some respects it's too nice to use as a van for lugging around crap around and not great to use as a car, so he's aiming for quite a small market. If you ran a little business and needed a van this would look great all sign written up and make a cool company vehicle that would get your...
I hope this deal works out ok for you, that is stunning. Great colour too! If you have a nice big garage to keep it tuckered up during the crap weather then it's an investment that hopefully won't loose you any money.
If he accepts your offer are you going to be using it or keeping it for...
Hey I'm just saying what he built mate, feel free to dissagree but it was a hemi and like I said it was a replica aar (it had the black bonnet, strobe stripes and bodycoloured bumpers etc but a shaker hood instead) it was built to be very quick to 100 and geared specifically for 1/4 mile drag...
Fair play for tracking a vee though, that takes some courage.
There's a vid on utube of Ragnotti getting pear shaped in a 255 in the wet (and we all know he's a king on track) he wasn't driving competitively, just for a laugh but it caught him by surprise a couple of times.
It really does look like a really nice track, not just to drive but to sit and watch too. It looks nice with the sun on it but very narrow in places, I bet it's hellish in the wet.
Either way they are still good shots! It'd be nice if there was a tower platform for you to get some higher up shots too for additional variety, you could probably make a decent bit of money selling large prints to the owners, some of these racer guys have a fair amount of cash to chuck at stuff...
I would have expected the engine to last much longer than that after a fsh. it must have had a hard life.
I cleaned an old jag once that had done 300k all on the same box, diff and engine.
It's a pain having a car with no / blown engine sat around if you can't do the work, so I'd guess...
Cool pics Rich. Have you tried a slighly slower shutter speed for a little more background blur on the side shots, it might make for a bit more action in the pic.
I imagine you are using a digi slr? I still use my trusty old practica but it's expensive to develop film and I've not got the...
I agree, it needs to handle like a cup, punch you in the back when you accelerate and do it all at 45mpg. If it hits those marks the dealers'll be shifting them quick.
There all great imo but I agree buying anything in between those dates would be a bit of a compromise especially the mustang II, that was a bit of a dog but the King Cobra model wasn't so bad if you like over the top 70's design.
Yhea my uncle has a lime green and black cuda aar replica with...
I'm pretty sure it supercharged. If it's the fluttering sound you can hear between changes then most big superchargers can make this sort of noise, especially if they have a bypass valve.

Sounds great eh! The whine from the sc is immense. You can pick a v8 'stang up in the states for feck all.
When I was over there I nipped in to a few garages and I was like a diabetic kid in a candy store, wanted everything but couldn't buy anything as it's the duty that's a killer once you've...
I thought I'd share my love for American v8's, crank up the speakers for these beasts. These are just the gen 5 and up to the latest models although I do like the classics I havent put any of their vids up, add your own.

Too fast + Massive understeer, he probably knocked it down a couple of cogs and wound the supercharger up and then braked too late.
I imagine you'd just drift around that sideways in your rwd m3 :rasp:
thats some commitment to cornering
The suspension on that thing is solid, or the track appears to be made out of speed bumps the amount of wobble from the camera :D
I had an mx5 years ago that was the same in the wet, you could get lift off over-steer or twitch the back end out with the...
Thats some commitment to cornering for you.
Got to love those little g40's though. There was one on ebay not so long ago, quite rusty so it went for peanuts.
I'm at least a couple of years away from being in the pipeline for one, still be interested to know the price of a vee on a cat d though.
I personally wouldn't mind that it was insurance registered, tbh, if it looks, stops and goes straight.
Good call with the m3.
If you can feel the scratch catch under your nail the chances are it might be too deep.
My last car had been keyed when it was in the prev. owners possesion and the deepest part of the scratch I was unable to remove without using paint, the other 10" (which still did catch under the nail) I...
That's awesome! I love white renaults. Can you get a center exit exhaust 'mini cooper' style for the clio? I think that might look nice and symmetrical. White WRC 5 spoke speedlines (McRae's rally Focus style) would finish it off a treat.
