    Catch up with the 172

Tell you what... peeps here always changing their wheels and asking what's best... black/white/green/luminous whatever... but I really don't dislike the standard wheels. It would be good to get them matching iceberg though. Is that a feasible project?

How likely is rust in the future on mk2 clios?

We should really think ourselves lucky! Cars these days are nothing like they were some 35 years ago when I started driving. I had two minis that I had to scrap because of chassis rust... probably unheard of now?

    Heater fan u/s

Please can anyone give me an idea on what's involved in replacing the heater fan on a 172? My works mechanic shyed away from taking the job on yesterday, as he said you need to remove the engine/bulkhead plate to get at it? Pretty sure the problem is with the fan, as it made some pretty...

    My new plates fitted

It's my Amateur Radio callsign that I've held for around 20 years. I remember when the 'H' series were originally released. 'G's' weren't available then, and I remember my disappointment in not being able to get my then BMW plated. Now they are, and I finally got around to doing the...

Cheers. I'll have a measure up later ;)

Why doesn't anyone sell a replica cup splitter?

My front skirt has plenty of scrapes on it already, though not sure if I did them or were there when I bought the car? So exactly what depth is a fitted splitter, or does that depend on what's fitted?

Why doesn't anyone sell a replica cup splitter?

Ah right. I'd guess that the little Clio ones are really cosmetic then ;) Just seen this thread that explains a little. I like the Laguna one  You really don't ground yours with 3cm clearance? Are you more paranoid with bumps in the road than me? LOL

Why doesn't anyone sell a replica cup splitter?

Here's a dumb question :o What's the attraction for 'splitters'? ... and why are they called splitters? I'm not too sure I have the ground clearance to fit one after just having the car lowered. I assume they would decrease clearance by at least an inch?

Where to mount phone inside car

Be careful with vent clips. They easily scratch and can break if you aren't careful when fitting and removing.

My car got vandalised last night

Sorry to hear that mate. Only consolation is that maybe no real permanent damage done? They could have keyed the thing all over I suppose? I rarely park outside my house nowdays, lost several wing mirrors myself, and most mirrors are missing from the neighbours cars. Worse episode I had was...
