It seems to drive amazingly. Just wanna floor it all the time!!
My old mounts were so knackered...
Just wanted to check they hadn't done something wrong. I expected a bit of vibration. It's nothin harsh but can feel it through the steering wheel.
Only when it drops to 900rpm. 1000rpm + is...
Same mount, just uprates the rubber bushes... I've heard they "take some getting used to!"
Car drives fantastically now though!! Just shakes you to bits at idle.
Hi guys,
Just picked my car up from having mounts changed. (standard upper engine mount, standard upper gearbox mount, powerflex dogbone)
Noticeable vibration when car idles at 900rpm. Is this to be expected with the powerflex..?
It's a Listers so I don't think they do Skoda... I'll have a look at that link. Thanks.
Some guy is selling a fabia splitter on ebay for about £25 + postage... lol!
The nearest Skoda dealer to me is to far away... I can't be bothered to drive to it...
Seeing as Skoda are part of the VAG group, do you reckon I could get one from my local VW dealership?
Cheap Xenons tend to be crap... I had some the 8000k ones I mentioned in my reply above were really really cheap off eBay as my current Xenons were going... wish I hadn't of bothered. The light pattern was rubbish, and the actual light output was pants too!! I now have some more expensive ones...
Id get the full kit, I hear the tensioners go quite frequently.
I had mine done recently and it was obvious the tensioner had never been changed on teh aux belt, there was a huge chunk missing out of the roller bit and it pretty much fell to bits when they took it off!!
Very lucky escape. In...
Mines not to bad. I'll just wait til it's actually dead I think. Haha
It slips, rarely and sometimes it's hard to select second. Ive noticed bite point move quite alot higher over last few weeks.
Due to cost/hastle I'll just wait. Haha
Ermmmmmm I paid about £330 ish... it was a year ago so not 100% sure! All I remember is it wasn't as cheap as I'd hoped! lol
There was a £60 "fault finding" charge included though!! I'd get it to a specialist who's rated on here and ask em to check those...?
Ummm If it's the speedo sensor that goes in to the gearbox (on cup models and early full fat ph2 models) then you'd know there was an issue because you'd have problems with your dials... Had to replace mine when I got the car (only about £23 and a 2 minute job!)
Can't think of it being anything...
Yeah he said if I was happy with the gearbox oil that's currently in it would nock £48 off the price. It needs changing though to be honest.
He's changing my mounts on Friday so he's gonna have a drive and let me know what he thinks of the clutch, I'm hoping I'm just getting paranoid. As far as...
I had this issue, I had all sorts checked! I always had to steer to the right to go straight, and tracking was apparently spot on!
Finally found a local specialist who traced it to being perished rear axle bushes. Once these were changed had the alignment done and it was spot on!
