Isn't that the engine warning light on bottom right of the speedo....
I'd get it plugged in to a diagnostics machine see what faults it brings up.

Hi guys,
Just wondered how important the torque settings are when changing engine mounts?! Just found my torque wrench and It's knackered and I'm planning on changing upper engine, upper gearbox, and dogbone tomorrow.
Any advice ta!!

The harsh buzzing / rattling is probably your engine mounts which is a common fault.
I paid £773 for cambelt, aux belt, tensioners, and dephaser pulley.
Never ever go to an independent garage to do the cam belt. Always go to someone who knows what they're doing.

I got some, they always worked but the light output was crap. £17 each.
I bought some from hids4u in the end. £55 for the pair.

Lol yeah maybe...
Ok. The bolts will be the same though I imagine, if the diameter is correct...?
Don't wanna bodge it by welding etc.

Hi guys,
I have a rather horrid looking cat back exhaust on at the moment, it looks like a Magnex... correct?
I hate the backbox, and I'm looking to get a recessed exhaust but don't wanna splash £330 on a brand new KTR one. Can I just swap the back box?? Or will it depend on things like...
More than it would have at BTM Performance but Fred was fully booked.
Full genuine cam belt kit
Full genuine aux belt kit
Dephaser pulley
Oil seal
£773
I was gonna ask him to get on here and ask to become a trader but I forgot.

Mines sorted. Sounds loads better, and I was told timing was out so probably got a bit more poke to it now too.
Not "tested" it yet so I'll let you all know. ;-) maybe I can finally start making a progress thread now I've got a decent base car.

Wasn't noticeably leaning or anything when mine went. I wouldn't drive it til you know what's up mate if I were you...

This happened to me... turned out my rear spring had snapped...
Didn't cause a knocking afterwards though but creaked all the time as my shock had gone on the same side!
This happened to me, then my rear spring sheared... lol
Replaced both sides, and ordered new shocks to as I had a feeling they were knackered (which they were!). Completely transformed the car. I bought all my stuff from NWPerformance.
Just to add. I went to see Fred at BTM Performance between Christmas and New Year and he confirmed my dephaser is shagged... He also pointed out that the aux belt tensioner looks like it's never been changed (previous owner had the cam belt changed for £150... say no more!).
Unfortunately Fred...
Just fitted some 5000k bulbs etc... And noticed the lights have gone quite cloudy again.
Gonna give them another polish but, any hints on how to keep them from doing it again?!
Yeah. Lol
I had a bit of a tantrum cuz I gotta find £650 to get the dephaser done.
But with everything else I've done to it, this SHOULD be the last big job.
Initially they were different colours when I first turned them on. Left them on whilst putting car back together and now they match...
5000k's with osram cool blue sidelights, and "matching" 5000k h11 fogs.
It's still daylight but I can already tell they chuck out more light than my old ones.

Cheers guys.
Spotted a few patches I've missed :-( hardly noticeable though so I think I'm gonna leave well alone now.

Got my 5000k ones through the post today.
Although (stupidly) I've decided to sell the car so if any one wants them they're £50 posted. They haven't been opened.
They are £55 plus postage iirc from hids4u.
Inbox me if interested.
Usually spark plugs/coil issue I believe. I had a similar issue on mine when in low rpm. Replaced the plugs and all was well.
