Hi Dunn, that's what he said! He also said that the steering arm had some play in it?? I think the reason he didn't spend to much time trying to get it undone was because I had to get to work to be fair... Although after speaking to Fred earlier, he said if it's well and truly seized he'll have...
Nope lol! These are a local Renault specialist. The only garage in my town, or where I work that I trust to look at my car! Did a top job getting the dephaser changed!
Keep trying to get them on here! I think his son used to be a member... think he's migrated to meganesport.net now though...
Just to let you know I went to Renault Services this morning, they said that my tracking is out. However, they said that the track rod end/arm (not sure which) on the drivers side is seized to the steering arm. Been quoted about £150+VAT to fix it, however, I think I'm gonna take it over to Fred...

Mine used to tramline before changing the rears...
Hey. My tracking is out, again....
It's apparently fine, but its pulling left. The weird thing is that sometimes its fine...??
Also sometimes under light braking it pulls even more to the left....
Front springs look very rusty. Wondered if it could be those??
Rear shocks and springs...
It's probably the linkage...
You need to remove both arms and the scuttle panel to get to it.
My arms were stuck too... http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?491105-Struggling-to-remove-wiper-arms-LOOK-HERE!!&highlight=wiper+arms
That sorted me out a treat.
Not sure about the whining noise... Tried cleaning the TDC sensor?? (Not sure where it is on a 1.6) My 172 failed to start sometimes and this sorted it!
I got mine private... So far it's cost me at least £1500 in repairs so maybe my opinion is slightly biased... lol!!
I'd only ever buy an RS privately from a member on here in the 'Cars for sale' section, as that way you can see in depth info on the car etc...
However, I will be looking at...
