My friends 2002 1.2 16V had a service / airbag light fault recently @ 2K miles. Also the fuel guage reading was intermittent. This was attributed to a faulty connection/connector under the drivers or passenger seat ...cant remember which. Reno by-passed the connector and has been fine since.

Demon Tweeks have some plastic / SS / Ally mesh on pages 100, 153 & 163 of their catalogue. Has anybody seen their mesh in the flesh ....hey that rhymes!?
Turn on the ignition but dont startup. Turn on/off the headlights twice. Should get an acknowledgement beep. Turn off ignition then startup as normal then hey presto your blue thingies should bust into life (if below the light threshold) . Disabling is the same proceedure.
Hi Chris, Afraid this seems to be the way things work! All gets a bit confusing for me. So auto headlights was one of the first things I disabled after getting the car. Least I know I am in control. One has to ask the question .... if one doesnt know when best to switch on their headlights...

If you have doubts ....then dont do it m8. A significant amount of dosh to get it done ....but could cost you big time if you get it wrong! Also if you get it done by a Reno dealer/reputable garage their work should have a guarantee for a least a year.

As Nick suggests, use a single pole switch and connect it in parallel across the the fan temperature sensor, which is normally isolated from earth and has two wires (ie. a wire from each of the two connections on the switch to each wire on the temperature sensor wires - normally the temp sensor...
I quite fancy having a fine wire mesh grill top and bottom sprayed black on my iceberg similar to what AMG used on their Mercs. Has anyone done this to a MKII / got pictures. R3OBC, sorry to stray from your topic, but your questions are certainly valid regards implementation, since the front...

As an older member of the club .....Im thinking back to the days of Minilites ....magnesium alloys!
From what I remember they are expensive, pretty strong and extremely light but:
(1) Magnesium alloy wheels are prone to chemical corrosion requiring frequent cleaning and washing down...
Hi Mikeherts,
Happy new 172 mate! Youve just bought yourself a lot of good fun.
The lights are normal. Until they heat up they are very green/blue. All the roadsigns appear blue from a distance.
Running in, I stuck to the manual and managed to do the 600 odd miles in two or three days...
Check streering rack fixings to bulkhead, steering arms, track tod ends and steering column UV joints. Could also be a problem with CV joints on the driveshafts. Check tht the CV gaiters are not split. If it is this the noise will tend to come from one side and be worse turning in one direction...
