Clutch change on a 172/182 will, in most cases, be cheaper than the belt change is.
We do a replacement OE 3 piece kit for £350+VAT and I know we're not the cheapest.
Re: Anyone know what Renault charge for *just* a cambelt change, literally nothing el
Alfa used to say there timing belts were every 10yrs. Then it became 5yrs and then 3yrs.
The book says 5yrs so take it literally if you like. We say otherwise because we don't like customers engines failing.

Check the date of that print because RenaultNET says different (that's the thing which dealers use btw)
I've no problems with that. It won't be back until August though I suspect. I'm away in the US for pretty much all of April then it needs a rear beam and some other bits before I'm booking anymore days out
They are on the shopping list Tony but after lifting the nose a bit I now no longer have scrubbing problems.
Trying to find a new rear beam to replace my bent one with. Gonna fit the full PMS rear kit this time to
I don't have access to RNA today so can't look up the diagram to see what that fuse powers (Which would help in narrowing down where to look). I don't think that's alarm related though as I seem to remember the 5A being the LV memory feed for the ECU. In that case i'd be looking in the engine...
Re: Anyone know what Renault charge for *just* a cambelt change, literally nothing el
It is 36k or 3yrs on the aux drivebelt kit service although I personally say 2yrs (the 3rd being on the belt change) because when they go wrong (Due to incorrect belt tension) the belt goes in to the lower...
It's a trait when they're old and needs replacing. New clutches are really lightweight for a cable clutch.
The 200 is hydraulic though so you can't really compare the two.
Personally I think it's going to be a keyfob that's at fault but I offer no assurance on that. Ideally it needs CLIP to carry out a network infrastructure test then go from there.
Mick
Flashing is saying the key is not recognised/authorised to start the vehicle. Do you have a spare key (I'm guessing not otherwise you'd most likely have tried it already)?
It could be a Key fault, UCH fault or a wiring issue (In cost order)
Mick
Based on the description it could be any of the above items and unless there's an obvious issue (such as fluids in the spark plug wells) Jezza is right in his suggestion - it really needs a diagnostic session to see if you can narrow it down.
Trial and error with parts may be cheaper but it...
Re: Anyone know what Renault charge for *just* a cambelt change, literally nothing el
No one in their right mind will do that for you as you can't legally warrant a job like that.
The way you say it is as if £300 is a lot.
Seems perfectly acceptable to me... blatently poor service from Henk there #sarcasm #rolleyes
I'm looking to buy one purely for datalogging ECM/ABS parameters on newer cars (My current hardware doens't like the new CAN) - I'll give the OP £50 for his
As per you other post on the same subject in another section (Try and keep help threads to a single thread) it could also be oil pressure related and is not necessarily an oil level sensor issue.
Mick
This warning is not automatically an oil level issue. It is a generic warning and is also used to warn you of low oil pressure so don't assume that just because you have an okay oil level that the level sensor IS the problem.
Ideally you will check the oil level and then have the oil pressure...
