Completely agree.
Albeit on a much lower level than yourself, but I simply hate 'having' to take pictures. I get asked to do child/baby portraits a fair bit, and people always ask me to be the 'unofficial' wedding photographer and I always refuse. Simply because photography is a hobby for me...
Nah import makes no difference. Was built pre-august shutdow 2003 most likely.
Reason I'm sad enough to know all this was that I ordered my 172 in July 03 and didn't get it until October 03.... and in between ordering it and getting it I lost the 6 CD changer and gained cruise control lol.
Sounds like yours was registered late then.... cruise was added as standard in September 03 in lieu of the 6 CD changer, which became a £200 (!) option.
Ummm.... All lights in this country will cycle 50 times a second if supplied by mains electricity. Not just neon.
I'm sure there will be a way round, but shooting moving images is a different ball game lol. Can you adjust the frame rate? I'm pretty sure the PAL standard is 25fps... but...
You're in the minority with that opinion... in fact only Vee owners concur funnily enough lol
But this is ph1, not ph2. And it's fairly common knowledge that the ph2 is a marked improvement over the ph1.
So you can calm down a bit dear ;)

I've used them before, although not via the web. They seem pretty expensive but they were doing 2 for the price of one when I used them.
Eh? It was a renaultsport shoot out. The had a Cup racer in there too iirc.
And you're right... The Vee needed to be with other over-priced RWD cars that are slower than a 172 Cup round a track ;)
Good review there fella.
Although I disagree with one point. I'd say the ideal starter DSLR is a 400D from the Canon outlet. £280. Better specced than the D40 and only a few pennies more. Much like the 350D, the D40 has had it's day. Nothing wrong with them, but you can get better equipment...
Technically you're not allowed to take any pictures at all (the club have intellectual rights over all pictures taken of the players etc.. or something like that)..... but if you can get your camera in without the stewards seeing it I doubt anyone will say owt.
I think they're all pretty 'average'. Not saying I could do better myself. Much more sense of movement in malices and better composition. Top pictures look photoshopped and possibly HDR. Malices do look a little cold.
In Malices defence, it looks as though the light on the day he took them...
Yeah....You'll need a CF card, I'd go for 4GB. They're peanuts to buy though.
Canon do a bag and strap that fit the 350/400D and the kit lens in perfectly.
Forgot to add... go to your nearest camera shop and have a feel of a couple of cameras. You don't need to be an expert to figure out...
I noticed that too... not looked on there for ages, but some of the Body prices are insane. In fact I'm thinking of chopping my 350D in for a 400D for that money! Not a big step, but would only cost me probably £70!
Refurbed 400D from ebay for £270 - Comes with a 1 year warranty from the Canon outlet on ebay.
Makes more sense than a D40 imho... nowt wrong with the D40, but you'll want to upgrade from it much sooner. Everyone on here has.
