Nice write up James. Did look like a high spec field. What's the longest run you've managed now? Assuming you end up doing 24hr britcar, do you have a co-driver in mind also?
Not really suprised by the inferno being a standard option, but the moonlight one is a bit random. Was it an option on other ranges? I've never seen one in Deep Bronze though :cool:
It would be a full clutch kit and bearing really mate. May as well with the box and engine separated. Iirc the clutch can't be adjusted. You might be able to lubricate the bearing, but it's not advisable spraying live near friction surfaces. What's the noise sound like?
Depends how much money you have. It will probably be possible to get it to 800kg, but it will need CF panels, polycarbs. Doing what Chris did with his trophy would help to (dipped the shell to remove all underseal). It's more resonable to say 900kg with cage iirc.
From watching at Oulton, you'll be better off going Civic if you're intent on the 2.0L class. As mentioned the 1.6 class would be significantly cheaper. Even Jay and Tony said that they would go for 106gti if their 172 was completely totalled. They are by no means the slowest out there, but the...
