    Sky were a great bunch to deal with, there original quote was not cheaper than my renewal but the excess was half the price. When they asked me my renewal price they went away and comeback with an other price that was lower and still with the low excess.

    Having seen a dephaser pulley in pieces I cant see how it would fail and as far as i'm aware none ever have. I drove mine for about 6k but it didn't sound as bad as yours. I would think it would be ok, just drive it sensibly however i'm sure some will disagree.

    That is definitely the dephaser pulley. Will need a new cambelt as well.
