How much is it leaking? They all seem to weep a little.
If you look on the front of the box there is butterfly screw. You fill the box up there and the level needs to be to the bottom of that hole.
I would either take it to a MOT centre that knows what they are doing, and get a refund off the original place once its passed or get him to phone VOSA while you are there.
It'll be the ICV. I got one off of ebay but you need to be prepared to drill the old one off the unit it connects too and rivet or bolt the replacement one on.
Could be the O-Ring on the fuel pipe that connects to the fuel rail. Mine was leaking and was hard to start in the morning as all the fuel pressure had been lost.
Cheers guys. Not sure it is the lambda as I got 39mpg on the way home tonight!
I've got a feeling it may be an adverse affect of driving in Germany last week and my foot still being a little heavy on the Motorway!!
I've noticed a a steady decrease in fuel economy so I'm expecting the lambda sensor. Last time I checked both sensors, the pre-cat one was quite carbed up and the after cat looked almost new. So ive got a few questions:
1)Should I just buy a new sensor and be done with it?!
2)Is it ok to...
I know someone who runs a Jetex decibel reducing insert on his TVR at trackdays and it make a noticeable difference. Would it be a cheap way of reducing exhaust boom on the Clio? Don't really want it to effect performance though.
Yes my inlets stay cooler from using PTFE gaskets but they aren't a great fit and tbh I wouldn't have got them if they were the full price. So in my experience stick with standard
I'm currently thinking of getting it modified and have even been looking at jetex decibel reducers just to see if I can remove the drone from cruising rpms.
Peak gains will be hardly anything but you normally get a nice slab of power and torque in the middle of the rev range which is why everyone talks of improved drivability.
Its always droned a bit but its getting stupid now.
I don't mind loud but I do mind a drone that makes the whole inside of the car feel like the inside of a subwoofer.
Are we talking about the actuator plug or the spark plug?
Also regarding your original question is that I would expect Renault only provide the gasket with a new solenoid though I'm not 100%.
As title. My stealth seems to be getting louder and droning more when under load. Its getting to the point where I don't want to take anyone in the car as it embarrassing.
Its covered about 40k now and I did notice a few weeks ago that there was some wire wool type sound dampening hanging...
