Apparently changing the position of the screw can really mess things up. The idle control valve is there to modulate how much air the engine gets at idle.

Are you sure its not the rocker cover bolts leaking?

search for threads on the dephaser pulley and see if that's the noise you are getting.

it could be the auto adjust ratchet clicking on the pedal assembly. Might be worth oiling it.
