I think it can be disabled but you have to fit a peasent spec stalk off a base model!

A) I couldnt be arsed removing the seats

Its a grease nipple, Normally fill them up with grease through a grease gun until the grease comes out of the boot then you know its got plenty in.
Wonder if they are pre-greased with them having a nipple on??
Personally i'd be cutting a piece of plastic from an old bumper that would fit the hole, then chamfer the edges on the cutout and the piece to replace, Getting some mesh and 2k glueing it inplace behind the cutout to reinforce it all, bit in the gaps on the front too.
Sand that down and skim...
I went with the ktec uprated ones and powerflex dogbone mount, They're good VFM IMO, bit of increased vibration but not enough to be a pain in the arse.
My car does my tits in as a daily anyway so a bit more vibration wont harm lol
