just over 1200, so the new clio is heavier. i agree with you that overall the 197 is a better car than the 182 but I dont think it will be as quick to 60 or 100 and as a lower top speed, so for me it just doesnt offer the best £ performance like the 182 did.
I like it, it looks really good inside and outside BUT assuming a renault dealer would give me £10k for my 182 (54 7500 miles) then I would be looking at finding £5000 to make up the difference and I dont honestly believe it is worth it. I think I would rather spend the money and get the 182 to...
I was thinking the same thing, £7600 to pay for the work and god only knows how much extra for the insurance.
Glad your enjoying it and think its worth it though
That will mean the 197 weighs 1230kg and will give it a power to weight ration of 160bhp per tonne, which is 7 less than the current full fat 182. I was reading the other day that Peugeot new hot hatch will have 180bhp the same as the old one. It doesnt make sense, the manufacturers need to...
The new ST will leave the clio standing at high speeds 100+, below that there wont be that much in it. the new ST is no faster than the best of the hot hatches out there at the moment
I really liked the 180 when the concept car was shown and when they came out and considered buying one, but I went off them big style mainly due to the poor road tests and also the performance according to road test was quite a bit slower then the 182 for a car with the same power
The V6 255 is not slow, people seem to think it is because of its price tag and this is becuase Impreza and Evo's can be had for similar money and are much quicker. Another way of looking at it though is that they are on par with their main rivals i.e Nissan 350Z, Honda S2000 and it is faster...
by a full fat 182 with cup pack, virtually the same power to weight as the 172 cup but with all the toys and the cup packs give you the same handling as the 172 cup
Best of both worlds
Mate, check out www.renaultsport.co.uk for pictures and specs of the 182, it also has pics of the New Renaultsport concept car.
It maybe best for you to wait until the new clio is out and then if you dont like it then you could always get a 182
Jesus, I think it is you who is bothered about the Vs threads (particular involving the Williams), as this appears to be the only time I have to read the rubbish that you write
The 3.0 S type jag has a 0-100 time of about 20secs, that three secs slower than the 182 and the jag is about 1.5 secs slower to 60, so the clio still pulls harder to a 100, after that i agree the jaq will catch
Nothing in it at all, if anything the clio is slightly faster to 60, there pretty much equal to 80 and the CTR is slightly quicker to 100 but is marginal. Has it has been said before it will come down to the driver!
Supposed to be 200bhp will weigh about 130kg more than the current 182 and will cost about 16k, do a search on here as there was a thread a few weeks ago and there was pictures of the concept car from a motor show.
the 172 cup or any of the Renaultsport Clios are all significantly faster than the ST, there over a sec quicker to 60 and about 4 secs quicker to the ton
The megane is slightly quicker on paper but nothing in it until silly speeds, i had a little play with a CTR yesterday and there was bugger all in it as well
18k or 2 year for clios
12k or 2 years for renaulsport models
I have currently done 7k mile in about 14 months, do you reckon I should have an oil change or shall i just wait till 12k or 2 years like Renault say?
Dislike:
Annoying noise form the windscreen wipers or from the electrics when they are on as it sounds like it comes from the glove box area (or is that just me?)
One rattle which is coming from the glove box or passenger door
Other than that love everything about it, especially at the...
Forgot to mention the 2 year warranty, if you write to Renault Uk though they will grant you a third year warranty but i believe you have to write within a certain period of time from buying and im not sure what this is
