It depends entirely on your budget and the sort of output you are looking for. The best bet is to navigate the forum and the various project threads; you can soon get a feel of the pros and cons each type of engine work entails. It would also be worth contacting people with various cars to see...
Not quite sure what you are describing from your wording but if you are essentially suggesting to move the throttle onto the front of the plenum it's a perfectly viable design, except in the clio there is just simply not enough room unless you were to go back over the top.

Popular theory states that 7 degrees C in intake temp inceases over ambient equals a lose of around 1% of potential power - the more you can do to prevent this increase the better. That said at 60mph the engine bay only holds a steady 5-8 degrees above ambient so it's not life changing.

ITBs are louder. Our setup noise wise is effectively a set of ITBs, but with an airbox on similar to Burps race car - it creates the same noise, just muffled.
Last week a customer contacted me expressing an interest in carrying out an RS2 Manifold conversion on his 182 to complement the 202 bhp he already had. I found it intriguing that at no point with a £1600 package had he been provided with any sort of graph demonstrating the cars raised output...
The problem is Andy that there are very few people out there that will actually do the research, and even less that actually understand how a cam profile & it's numbers relate to changes in the cars performance.
Minefield.
If you are sticking with standard management you need to budget for at least £1700.00 upwards all in for a good quality set, fitted, mapped etc (it's effectively a full cambelt service + the cams themselves + proper mapping).
There are some questionable quality regrind type cams...
You've probably rounded the bolts. Best bet is to get a meaty set of mole gips on the engine side bolt heads, and a flare nut spanner on the other end to stop it from rounding.
Depends if it is a Renault Original kit which retails as nearly £35.00 parts only, or a peugeot kit which is identical and only £5.00. Fitting takes about 30 mins.
lol, I had a 202 conversion over last week in prep for an RS2 manifold, I wanted to dyno it to see how the land lay prior to working on, needless to say the results were, eh bad. I'll post them up a little later.
I'd placem a guess on it being the exhaust manifold striking the subframe under excessive engine movement. Check the positioning of the engine in the upper mount and the health of the lower mount.
It's nothing to do with locking/unlocking, it's usually a relay related issue that stops the fuel rail from being primed the first time of asking.
When you turn the kit to pre-ignition you should hear a whrrrr of the fuel pump priming in the back of the car? If not it probably will struggle to...
I see. It's apparent its not a stock engine - ?
I'll try and get along on Sat, would like to say hello.
Odd, where they done up while the car was on a ramp - seen it before where they have not been torqued up due to lack of room and the settings were out like yours about a week later.
No, many manufacturers use different sleeve/flange joints, and often the lengths are different too. Always best to try and get hold of the one designed for the system you are fitting it too.
