the wishbones are different on the 172 to the dci the 172 are slightly longer and sturdier and the arb mounts in a diff position but can be made to fit by drilling a whole. the hubs and suspension leg will fit onto the dci wishbone but you will need the inner part of the hub from the dci...
tigerseal is a absolute b*****d to get of lol good luck lol . try warming it up with a heat gun/ boiling water and prize of with something wide and slim . other than that i have no idea .
i have halfords , snap on and blue point tools and find halfords to be great quality if i was to buy over again i would just buy halfords as there are very few things that could be better in the kit only thing i have snapped is the 3/8 extensions but i wasnt using them properly and a couple...
nope aslong as the filter is still there it will be fine . it wil sound better if thats what your after but you will get heat soak and slow you down a bit .
i dont know if all dci's have this though think it mite be something the ''derv doctor'' did but i had the same symptoms and thats what sorted it for me . let me know how you go on and if your stuck ill go out and get a pic for you to see what i mean .
mine did a similar thing the other week. it turned out to be a wire that is supposed to be earthed from were the fuses are in the engine bay wasnt connected up right put that on it it fired straight up .
i dont think it has much to do with the fact there using waterbased paint because it is covered by laquer and thats what you get orange peel in not the actual paint/ base colour . unless they have to use a different laquer method to before ? any 1 know ?
have you thought about having your injectors serviced ? unless they are beyond repair . otherwise the cheapest i have seen them for was £160 for a used set .
when you say litres i take it you are using a compressor and gun ? if so half a litre should do it easily enough . i would use waterbased paint it costs a bit more but i find it much easier to use than others .
i would use high build primer filler as it would cover the little black bobbly bits...

yeh thats why i have just had to rebuild it the turbo had more play in it than a swing lol stem seals were fucked so its had a full top end rebuild bottom end was fine . hence the reason i have spare actuator . so with a fresh build fmic maybe water injection and more boost ill see what i...
the wire should be at back of the head unit were the rest are and just earth it out to the black(ground ) cable or even the back of the head unit car chassis etc .
original owner took mine to derv doctor . his work is great but he can be quite ignorant . mine was a 65 and is at 104 bhp with no fmic , just exhaust and a derv doctor dump valve . he thinks that with a bigger turbo and fmic 140 bhp is about optimum before im spendin stupid money on it ...
