They share the same tread pattern but use a different compound, and the AD08R is the replacement for the outgoing AD08, is what I've been led to believe.
I'm trying to get some accurate info on when the new AD08R tyres will arrive in the UK but with limited success so far. Does anyone have any contacts at Yokohama UK?
Saw him at the last Action Day - it's a quick car that. I think he's a member of the obsessive personality disorder club ;) so will be mates with Rich Williams, Chip, Lesley & Dan etc.
What are your initial impressions of them & the Sachs up front?
As per sj's comments, it does look low at the rear but not so much at the front. Needs more 'tractor' ;)
I'm pinning my hopes on Cooksport springs & a set of 15s looking the business. Here's hoping - please post those pics up...
How soon can/should Reload be applied after Finest?
Did I read somewhere that not only does it give a glossier finish but it also assists with the week-long curing time so can be done immediately?
Well that's close to being a 900 mile round trip from me to you & back so a listen will have to wait for another time ;)
Look forward to the video, meanwhile, thanks for the positive comments - looks like yet another raid on the savings fund is in order!
What brand of sub is it Charlie, and are you happy with the performance, quality and depth it provides? I'm really interested in getting an under-seat sub and you're the first I've seen with experience!
Where are you based Charlie, and are you planning on going to FCS this year? I'd love to...
Thanks all for your comments.
The Red Lion also got recommended elsewhere too Oli, so it sounds promising, and yes, it's for a 'faggy' Trophy meet, although I'm not convinced all 500 will be able to make it ;)
Can anyone suggest a good pub for a meet in the Gaydon / Leamington / Stratford-upon-Avon area?
The Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon is an option but they might not be able to cater for us if everyone won't commit to paying the £12 museum entrance fee.
The pub needs to have a decent sized car...
You're statistically more likely to crash a 1*2 and if you do your premium next year will be massive. I vote for another year's driving experience and spend the money elsewhere or save it...
Arranging somewhere for ~100 cars to meet and convoy in together will be a logistical nightmare so as Bobby said, just tag onto one of the regional convoys - there must be a few coming from Wales you can hook up with.
Spotted today (Monday 15 July) at around 2pm.
You were heading towards the M4 Hungerford junction having come from the Newbury/Great Shefford direction.
The sun was shining and your car looked stunning. LY has always been a bit marmite for me but it looked sublime.
