Aux belt is 36k or 5 years. Cam belt is 72k or 5 years. In 4 years time if you have only done 36k I would get both done to save on labour costs.

My ph1 cat was the same length as the ph2 sports cat I brought so on the later PH1s the cat is the same length.

When my head gasket went on my last car it didn't use the ammount of water that your describing and when I changed the gasket it was one of the worst ive seen. However I did drive around for 2000 miles knowing the head gasket had gone but just kept topping the water up!

That is the drain plug and its easier to get to the wing nut with the airbox out. The wing nut is on the side of the box. DO NOT fill the box through the breather hole ontop as you will have a nightmare finding the right level.

Mine did quieten down after about a thousand miles BUT it is still a little boomy on the motorway. Depends what your after really as it sounds great when giving it some beans.

You dont have to run the CAF as Mark has. It can be run the other way down into the passenger wheel arch or lower grill. I'm not sure about the elbow as ive got a PH1 and the stock elbow is shorter, so fits it perfectly.

The fuel filter is sometimes on the outside of the tank on the PH1's though the service interval on them is approaching 150,000 miles IIRC so its not worth bothering with. Magnetec makes the engines a bit noisy so most steer clear of it. Try opieoils to get a service pack from as we get 10%...

so it wont make much of a differnce apart from two of the main things that should be checked in a service!?

Not too much, but my autobahn run was before any engine mods so it will get there in stock form. Just give it a good service and go from there.

Sounds like something is wrong. Mine will do 140, not lightening quick getting there but it does.

Ive got mine fitted with a sports cat and its pretty quiet when crusing on the motorway. It only get louder when you accelerate or reach an incline.

Engine Cover Off Car on axle stands Then get a light underneath if you can that should help you see and understand what you have to do. Its not too bad to get off its getting the bloody thing back on thats fiddley unless you have girls hands.
