Has anyone looked into this and found anything?
Probably not needed but I'd like to have a locking nut on my wheels if possible. Only issue is I have the PMS stud and nut kit.
I did look into it before with no success.
Now I've had a thought about using a Honda stud and locking nut on one...
Yeah I knew an adapter was needed for the mini USB port. That would then mean you'd have a MIC hanging loose from the adapter cable and would then need a separate mount or something to hold the MIC up and in a fixed position?
It's lasted you pretty well then really hasn't it. A year of hammering on standard worn out parts.
You fitted the ARP rod bolts I'm assuming. Any reason you didn't change the big end bearings at the same time? (purely out of mechanical interest - not trying to rub any salt into any wounds)...
Cool. I saw a few of these on eBay.
Do you have a Hero3? It seems you need an adapter cable as there's mic in slot.
In which case you'd need a separate mount for the MIC lol!!?
Bloody Renault engines.
Thanks for sharing James. Sorry again for the bad luck.
How quickly does the oil temp rise before it's too late? Like would you have any chance of noticing it and then turning it off. Or is it literally a matter of seconds and bang.
Forgive my ignorance. But what's actually happened there? Obviously the rod wanted to make a break for freedom, but what do you think caused it / what failed first?
Looks bloody messy!
Just some footage from my track day this weekend just gone. Was a great day out and had an epic support vehicle.
My pal randomly bumped into his dad, it was an M3 forum meet too.
This clip shows me sitting behind my a guy called Steve's M3. He wanted to watch back some footage of his...
My car decided to rip off the front splitter at Bedford on Saturday. So I need a new one.
Had a quick search. Don't have time to go to a scrappies and there's not one that local to me anyway.
Where do I get one from. Skoda splitter isn't it? But any particular model or part number?
Or is...
As I said on Fb mate. Not nice to see, gutted for you :-(
Hopefully some of the parts will be salvageable. Keep us updated in here when you find out more after stripping it down.
Just been having a read about these K20 conversions. They're not cheap!!!
Not seen a mention of a Duratec conversion yet though. Have you seen this done before? Or are you saying it would just be another alternative. Sorry I've just re read that you said 'other popular' conversions.
Interesting hmmmm. Both these wheels have the same offset I believe.
Cheers, that's surprising too. I was always under the impression the OZ F1s were light in comparison to other wheels. Hence why they buckle so easily. And that the reason 2118s rarely buckle is because they're so much...
Looks so much fun. Shame about the 4th gear issues.
That Porshce Boxter race car getting in your way a bit towards the end.
Love the way there's radicals and the likes scooting about all over the place too.
